The ADHD ability to make hard stuff look easy so people think you're being ridiculous when you struggle with easy stuff is my favorite part.

Elon Musk: For a country to survive, there has to be a common culture.

Nobody dies to defend a “multicultural economic zone”!

American culture, with its English-Scotts-Irish origin, is great and worth fighting for.

Some may not realize it, but that’s why people come here.

How about trying pro-immigrant? Stand with the Statue of Liberty. To be a magnet for the skilled and striving, which benefits the US as a whole.

Could a party please represent the majority of Americans who want immigration maintained or increased, not only cater to the 30% that want it decreased?

listening to audiobooks counts as reading. in some instances like historical nonfiction where the author will spend hours demonstrating how year-over-year falling grain yields caused a revolution to happen, it actually counts as reading with a 1.2x multiplier

I think it’s time for Democratic leaders to start saying “if you’re a pilot or ground crew involved in a deportation that was stayed by a judge, you’ll be held criminally liable for human trafficking.” Everyone involved in these flights should have that fear in the back of their minds.

The left is missing out on AI As a movement, it has largely refused to engage seriously with AI, ceding debate about a threat and opportunity to the right

www.transformernews.ai/p/the-left-i... i wouldn't call this "directionally correct" as much as i'd call it uninterested in confronting the left critiques of the AI industry that the right has no objection to: the amorality of its leaders, its model of theft, and its environmental damage

Two tuberculosis cases detected at Camp East Montana ICE facility Eighteen cases of COVID-19 were also identified. U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar on Friday visited the 5,000-bed tent facility on the Fort Bliss Army base and said she saw many "chronic issues."

One way concentration camps become zones where law doesn't apply is by neglecting policies & standards that would protect health & provide healthcare. You deny laws & norms & dehumanize your victim.

The Language of Public Violence; My Conversation with the Anti-Authoritarian Experts of STROIKA US government agents behave like Fascist blackshirts and state security forces in Turkey, Iran, and other autocracies.

"The behavior of ICE and CBP agents reminds me of the Fascist blackshirts who arrived in trucks, armed with clubs, knives, guns, and castor oil, to subjugate towns in early 1920s Italy, before Benito Mussolini declared dictatorship."

Classic authoritarian logic: corrupt people by giving them an incentive to do the wrong thing. In 1933 and 1938, years of major assaults on targeted groups, the Nazis forgave the debt of other Germans to bind them to the regime.

Oligarchs usually operate outside government. But under the Trump administration, they moved inside — accelerating the dismantling of the civil service by using anti-democratic tactics.

Sometimes very hard not to feel like the rest of the country has abandoned Minnesota. We STILL have ICE everywhere. Our schools, businesses, and economy are in profound crisis. But without Bovino here throwing tear gas, much of the country seems to not care at all what’s being done to us.
