At age 22 I read "The Dispossessed" by Ursula Leguin.
I excerpted a chapter from my first book, put it onto a separate doc, and followed the prompts "Spelling and Punctuation" and "Grammar". The result didn't even sound like my characters, or like me.
LOL. Three women baking cookies all day from 9 to 6:30. "The Road of Excess leads to the Palace of Wisdom."—Wm Blake
Black-eyed peas are ready; we have "too many cookies." All set, I guess.
Well, happy new year to those who celebrate it. May yours be productive and enlightening.

Since Sam Bond's Garage is closed (at least until the old and new owners close on the deal) I will hold my Friday evening office hours at *Serpent and Sparrow* on Washington St in Eugene. Let's see how that goes...
Usual places today, usual times:
Portal tea from 12:30 til two; World Café from 2:30 til 4;
Sam Bond's Garage until I get bored.
This being Halloween, I'll be costumed.
This being Last Friday Artwalk, I'll be displaying my books. maybe I'll sell some, who knows?
After it comes back from the beta reader(s). All I have to do now is consider their advice, make what changes I think are merited, and then publish. Right.

This is, I think, called propaganda. And it *may* be the solution to Fermi's Paradox.
In the case of humans, 10% are heroes, 10% are villains, and the other 80% can usually be counted on to follow whichever side seems to be winning. So if the villains can convince enough people that they are winning, then they win.
