I made some sweatpants using the #DaughterJudyCoeTrouser pattern as a birthday gift to myself! Cozy fabric is secondhand from Fabcycle. I added jeans-style topstitching using the triple stitch to emphasize the interesting pattern shape.

Part 2 of my silly coat project is a removable liner for my raincoat that I can also wear on its own! Fabrics are secondhand and I used a heavily modified version of the #DaughterJudyThompsonCoat with some elements from #SeamworkLarkin. It's cozy and fun and I need a break from sewing outerwear!

Finished my silly raincoat! All the fabric is secondhand and the pattern is the #DaughterJudy #ThompsonCoat. I did a lot of experimenting and learned a lot and I'm pretty happy with this bright wardrobe addition to get me through winter.

I used the Deer and Doe Magnolia for a bridesmaid dress this fall. It has a similar neckline and I was able to wear a normal bra underneath. I was very comfy all day and didn't feel matronly so I think the pattern you found could be a good option!

I'm Al! I'm in Seattle and I mostly focus on garment sewing, but I also enjoy quilting, knitting, crochet and embroidery. I'm working on sewing through my stash and in the past couple of years I've been trying to use secondhand materials whenever I can and tackling my huge scrap pile.

This elaborate winter raincoat was really fun to design in my head but not so fun to sew. Between that, other life stuff and some delays in getting supplies, I'm struggling to find the motivation to work on this. Here's hoping I can get it done in time to actually wear it this winter! #GarmentSewing
