A screenshot of Lala and Po from the teletubbies. The screenshot is clearly taken from someone's phone, as the borders of the tv can be seen, as well as glimpses into the apartment behind them. Po is in bed wrapped up in a blanket. The text below them reads "I know you were high at my mother-in-laws funeral..."

More screenshots from the Teletubbies. Lala seems to be upset with a terrified Po. the text below reads "Did you kill the dog? Why would you do that?!"

A third screenshot from the Teletubbies, this time the same scene as before. Po is wearing an apron while Lala seems to still be upset at him. The text below reads "You're nothing but a failure of a man."

In the 2010s, the Icelandic tv station Channel 2 accidentally added subtitles from a gritty crime drama to an episode of Teletubbies.

I have translated some of the highlights

China’s own ‘Silicon Valley’ - where everyone is developing an AI app The superpower hopes that the brave new world of Artificial Intelligence will inspire an increasingly disillusioned Gen Z, writes International Editor Lindsey Hilsum en route to Beijing.

🗣️ "In the US, Wall Street investors are worrying about an AI bubble - maybe they have pumped too much money into the big Silicon Valley companies.

"Across the western world, people are fretting about AI’s potential to act autonomously and take control of our lives."

Civilisations: Rise and Fall review – TV that will make you despair for our own plummeting society The mightily stressful and incredibly close-to-the-bone BBC show traces the demise of four ancient worlds – and it’s wildly prescient stuff. Will we never learn?

The guardian seem to think Ken Clarke presented Civilisation ….

Such a great read. Thank you. Never knew about this at all and lived in London all my life.

When writing news articles we would normally use surname for anyone once their full name has been mentioned once. Often with Mr or Ms etc. would never just refer to someone by their first name

ha i'm the exact opposite - makes things like running or cycling in daylight far harder, and less time for lovely walks etc, and just reminds me we have the endless winter ahead

I find autumn so depressing as means the summer is over, and shorter days soon, and it gets cold!
