I’ve got a new song out! Years and years of this one sitting on the hard drive, intermittently opening the project file to make tweaks, until ultimately deciding the world can have it. It’s yours now!

I have decided henceforth I will not obey the clock changes that come with daylight savings time. I’m not letting anybody tell me what time it is. I only listen to the sun. Please plan accordingly in our future correspondence.

I like the example of washing out to create an illusion of drifting away, but I see that as an outro because there’s an idea. Simply automating the master volume fader down to zero is unimaginative imo.

Here for my monthly reminder to pave your own lane so others are attempting to replicate you instead of getting lost in the crowd of replicating someone else. Make the goal to have your name written in the Wikipedia entry for a movement you spearheaded.

I can appreciate that analogy, but I can’t say it makes it any better for me. Fade out just seems lazy and a product of a bygone era.

It seems trivial, but I believe having a low threshold for enjoyment has spared me from greater sorrow. To be able to find pleasure where most would default to disappointment shifts my perspective. Something as simple as not being upset my food is cold has changed what I don’t take for granted.

The whole ‘Hold Your Colour’ album was on repeat in my car’s CD player, but there’s something particularly visceral about Plasticworld that reanimates entire scenes and surroundings for me.

I will always cherish the feeling I get when I listen to Pendulum’s ‘Plasticworld’. It was perfectly situated in that transitional period of leaving childhood to discover the unbridled young adult freedom.

Today is the anniversary of losing someone very close to me 13 years ago. As that count increases, so does my awareness of the passage of time. 'Stand Still Time' is a tribute and a reminder to live in the moment.
