EPA moves to curb state input on water permits, raising alarm The Clean Water Act has allowed states and tribes to derail some high-profile projects. That power will be diminished with new rule, say environmental advocates.

Limiting state and tribal input on water permits would be a giveaway to big polluters. This and other EPA rollbacks are why Minnesota needs to strengthen our own clean water protections.

This is absurd. If another country hit our top civilian and military leaders and wiped them out, then bombed 1,000 targets and threatened five more weeks of bombings, we'd say it was war. Get real or get out of here with this.

The cruel irony is that Trump will likely use his war with Iran as a pretext to further suppress dissent at home.

We must resist his efforts to stifle freedom of speech, make warrantless searches and arrests of Americans, and put more military onto our streets.
