How much does the MWh/year/1ha solar array ⬇️ when you include the energy req to mine all the elements needed for those panels, batteries, & wiring & support structures, the energy to transport & transform those elements into functioning parts, & the energy to transport to their final destination?

No, but just like he did with Comey, he will tweet fire Wray unfortunately, and he has the legal right to do so.

Also forgot perennial Korean celery (Seombadi). Similar to lovage.

Have to remove and store rhizomes in crates in garage over winter in my 7a/6b edge zone.

And also grow cardoons/artichokes which mostly avoid winter kill as long as I heavily mulch their crowns.

As for other possible things to consider. Skirret is a good security root crop. Bronze fennel is wonderful. I’m also starting some flowering quince from seeds this winter/spring. And this past year was first time growing arrowroot (Canna edulis) for biomass & edible rhizome.

Out of curiosity, what’s your reason for “don’t bother” for most of the vining edibles (hardy kiwi, maypop, & shizandra)? Just their requirements for strong bearing arbors & space? I have some 3-4 year old hardy kiwi (not producing yet) & cold stratifying maypops from seed for this coming Spring.

And at least on, McMahon, who actively helps to cover up for the gropers.

So much for that dedication to free speech he likes to proclaim. What a wimpy snowflake.

What is Anonymous’s take on Bluesky funding? Particularly as it relates to recent backing from a Russian oligarch?

What is Anonymous’s view of the funding of Bluesky? Particularly as it relates to a Russian oligarch? Any concerns we should have here?

When does this version come out? I might be willing to pay big bucks for that one…

No, no, no…sister wives. Gotta keep upgrading to the new, exciting model every few years.

Well, there is still that deep seated belief that blonde hair, blue eyes is the hallmark of the superior race in that segment of the population.

1/IMPORTANT thread about Bluesky funding and origins. Many folks know that it was seeded by Jack Dorsey around a libertarian vision of a magical network that wouldn’t need moderation because it would be decentralized and baked into a protocol (somehow).

I just need a bookmark function added and everything will be peaches. Oftentimes I scroll without much time to read a multi-post thread or article link and want to bookmark them for later. Guessing this is due to a lack of server size for now, so hopefully will be added soon as the app scales up.

Agree with the general sentiment on the elderly tortoise, but let’s also be sure we deal with facts as they are.

IVF is not currently illegal in Alabama. They passed a law in March to protect IVF following the state’s Supreme Court ruling temporarily threw things into chaos.

If you know and trust the source (either your own animals or a close neighbor/relative) and that they use safe and sanitary practices, it is perfectly safe. I’ve been using raw milk from my neighbors for over a decade with zero issues. Entirely safe and full of beneficial probiotics.

I use the cream for coffee and the remaining milk is either turned into cheese or cultured for yogurt or kefir.

I would never buy it from a source I don’t trust, but if you know and trust the source, it has no more risk than buying lettuce (listeria, E. coli risks) from a large supermarket.

If you are getting a manure smell, then it is being done completely wrong and unsanitary.

I have neighbors that have genetically A/A Guernsey cows and get raw milk from them on a bi-weekly basis and have never had any issues. It is truly incredible stuff.

US, UK, France

Non-NATO:
Russia, China, NK, India, Pakistan, Israel

And possibly Iran (???)

1 year ago 2 1 0 0

Because if they did, you’d have an immediate in-kind response from China, NK, and likely Iran. We’d be in the midst of WWIII within 24 hours with at least 7 of the 9 nuclear armed powers involved. Granted, that may be what happens eventually anyways, but let’s not try to expedite it.
