I left Threads. IME, it was a lot more conservative and I saw a lot more right wing posts that got a lot of love. I saw some posts from my friends on occasion, but its very heavily algorithm-based feed meant I just saw a lot more garbage and highly controversial posts

Reading thousands of articles about literacy in the NYT makes me feel even more strongly that talking and complaining about literacy is a way for the elite to ignore poverty and violence

You might not look at your screen but others do. I recently test drove a car and didn’t buy it because climate control was two menus deep when it should just be a physical button/knob I can access without looking.
