Sure, there's been an influx of band-themed anime lately, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna detract any points just because Bocchi the Rock exists. Bocchi doesn't have Band-Maid playing the OP or mocapping the performances, and my obsession with them is too strong at this point.

I don't even want to raise any criticisms like "The school segments were fun, I wish there were more of it", especially since the show makes it clear that its passion lies elsewhere. As a result, it's just eye-catchy enough not to distract from the meat of the story.

Man, some anime is just fun. You feel like it wraps you in a cozy blanket and gives you cocoa even when the subject matter is loud and rude. I'm gonna miss this show (which means I'll probably pick up the manga and miss it too when I catch up).
