Going to protests, volunteering for an org that is providing free legal services to immigrants and refugees, attending town halls, lobbying former political contacts, and serving as an intermediary between elected officials and activist orgs.

If Trump started executing judges, Democrats would still say we're "in danger" of losing our democracy.

We have lost our democracy. That doesn't mean it's impossible to get back, but we have lost it.

You have to catch up to the present before you can be proactive.

When do we stop being a democracy? We've been "in danger" of losing our democracy for quite a while. What line must be crossed for it to be lost?

That doesn't mean don't vote. Vote in every election (if there are still elections)! But you can't count on business as usual politics to save you.

Democrats taking back the House won't be a check on this fascist administration. Whether Dems are in the minority or the majority, their weak decorum won't beat autocracy.

You shouldn't count on free, fair, or accurate elections going forward, anyway.
