The wind carries..

Through moon's sliding ups & downs
As feathered friends top sculptures
Carved sanctuaries figures

Ebb and flow
Of us
Close, then distant
Sometimes oceans apart
Sometimes merely a puddle
Desperately trying
Not to
Seep away

At others
We are
Tidal waves and froth
Moments in collision
Happy and sad
Then parting forever
Only
Pining for touch
Once more

how long will we stay
calling love
a promised land?
what do we know of it
if pleasure is all we name?
it is touch
fever

A captive song still trembles
in my chest
its broken notes fall

that feels like frost

They let the world know
Wildflowers are here to stay

I was raised on a moody old jetty. I always look down when I walk.

Compulsions no longer compelling

You were afraid to touch me
You saw red as hot
You thought you would get burnt
look into my eyes
They're looking at you
Bring your hands closer
Put your trust in me
I'm a calm red
Like a rose on a sweltering summer day
Don't be afraid
