Our CEO, Barbara Stephens, is delivering 'Staying connected: A guide to dementia-friendly conversations’ talks as part of it. Barbara recently delivered this at Driffield Manor Care Home, which was very well received.

This LGBT+ History Month, stories like ‘Our Dementia Diary’ remind us that LGBT+ history is found in love, caregiving and lived experience, and that inclusive, compassionate care matters at every stage of life. 💜🏳️🌈
LGBT+ people living with dementia are able to live well with dementia, but they may also face additional challenges. Memory loss can expose past traumas, anxieties and experiences that may be difficult for the individual living with dementia and the people closest to them.
February is LGBT+ History month. We wanted to mark this by highlighting an LGBT+ story.
