Ut pictura comoedia: The Andreini Family and the Arts in Renaissance and Baroque Italy Lovers of Italian culture know well a few members of the Andreini family (fl. 1560s-1710s): Isabella, Francesco, Giovan Battista, and Virginia Ramponi. This lecture recovers from the Andreini family archive several new (to us) figures and some surprising connections, especially between the visual arts and the commedia dell’arte.
