I don’t post much, and when I do, it’s apt to be my art or what I’m reading. Occasionally, I get notification that I’ve been blocked, and I seriously wonder WTF.
Then again, I once got banned from an NPR fan community over some exceedingly minor offense. Such rebel! Much naughty!

I’m so sorry, world. We fought. We continue to fight. It doesn’t seem to do anything.

This thread is a great read!
When Americans were asked to temporarily sacrifice going to their barbers so we could keep the morgues from overflowing, people with guns stormed the Michigan capitol.

A moody black and white photograph of some urban decay. A low graffiti-covered cement structure stretches out in a weed-choked plain, while a darkening sky looms above. A lone tree breaks the horizon at the left of the image.

I have a cabinet full of interesting spices and almost every imaginable peppercorn (not nightshades). I’m not a huge fan of Szechuan but I use it occasionally, especially in rubs. I’m trying to find long pepper which is reportedly much tastier than black pepper. Also Acmella (buzz buttons).
I’m a Cajun who found out in my 40s that I’m intolerant to nightshades. I had to get the blood out of my cayenne stream. I still miss Tony’s.
Zatar, which I love, doesn’t taste the same but the dark red kind of tricks my system. I use so much sumac and zatar now.

I thought the half-time show was ok. As a Louisiana native, the sugarcane plantation thing hit, but pop music isn’t my thing.
And that’s ok. Bad Bunny doesn’t need to speak to me. Not everything needs to be about me or for me. And there’s so much joy about the performance, which is great!
