New Dedeco mix lets goooooooooo

I love my Framework laptop so much! Especially the LED keyboard spacers which I have set up to show a bunch of system stats.

I often have a hard time just shutting out everything else and dedicating time to video games but boy did I cram a lot of WoW Legion Remix this weekend.

Mostly to unlock some druid animal forms b/c I am a furry after all.

This AGDQ SM64 relay is incredible!

Been running tests and things seem ok, except my secondary SSD is not always detected at boot and won't let me boot from it at all, even though it mounts and reports everything is ok. I replaced it with another SSD had lying around and that one boots properly. I guess something broke on the drive.

Just started watching Avatar: Way of the Water and knowing my movie watching habits this might take an evening or two...

Gosh, this really is gonna be all nuclear family focused isn't it?

So yeah, it's been tough, with big changes and still more to do, but in the end I feel I am in a good spot for 2026 and I feel loved and supported. <3

I wasn't sure I would be able to help out for the Trans Awareness Week/Trans Health Conference this year but in the end I could and that worked out well too.

The holidays have been emotionally taxing these last few years but I was still worried about Christmas without dad. However mom's sister and her partner really stepped up again and made this a wonderful time for us. I got to dress up as Santa for their grandkids and write lots of gift rhymes!

In August I got to host my own 40th birthday on that island!

I am incredibly grateful that I have so many dear friends, and that so many were also willing to travel from all across Sweden to celebrate lil old me. That cozy garden party was the highlight of the year!

I got to go to a bunch of my cousins' kids graduation parties, and host some friends from Ukraine during midsummer at my parents' island cottage (and which I am incredibly privileged to now have a lot of say over).

I wish more could have happened relationship-wise but that's def not surprising considering where my focus and emotional energy had to go.

However the first half of the year was also filled with a bunch of wonderful 40th year birthday parties for friends in Stockholm!

My health has been weird, I guess it was good overall considering all the pressure but I managed to speedrun ailments-popularized-by-Justin-Bieber by catching both shingles and lyme disease just months apart! That sucked! I'm fine now tho, with nothing to show but a tiny scar on my forehead.

Meanwhile the Trump administration and war in Ukraine was chipping away at my faith in humanity. At least in my work I can feel I am helping in some little way with the latter. However we also had layoffs there this autumn which was incredibly sad and stressful.

... have been a huge help in all this, and I am very grateful for the stronger bonds I have gained with them. Mom now lives in a nursing home and I am relieved and happy she seems to enjoy her new life there.
