Love the wisteria! πΊ

So cool! I saw them in 1976 at The Roxy, a small club in West Hollywood. I loved their early stuff, esp. Abandoned Luncheonette.
The Mahler must have been amazing! I saw the Monkees at Philadelphia Civic Center in 1967. I was 13 and still remember what I wore. I think The Soul Survivors "Expressway to Your Heart" was playing on the radio on the way there.
But what I remember most was how every human emotion just radiated out from her, joy, sorrow, love, pain. She was a hard act to follow. Randy was more laid back, and I understand quite shy, he sang his songs and sounded great, always loved his voice. But for some reason, it's Tammy who I remember.
Love your 'lil creek! And this song brings back memories ... I loved Randy Travis and saw him back in the day. His opening act was Tammy Wynette. She came out in a midnight blue sequin dress and before her first song ended, I fell completely in love with her! Great voice, great material, great band.
I wish! β€οΈ
I have always β€οΈ your art and recipes, and have Heart of the Home and Vineyard Seasons (hardback, slightly yellowed) from when they were first published. They have survived many moves over the years! So happy to see you here! π
My notification popped up as I read this, updated w/no issues. l π Linux!!!
Will be watching Ashes to Ashes soon. Although it seems like Life on Mars will be a hard show to follow as it was just so perfect!
Early morning December snow βοΈ outside of Philly.
Yay! Same here.
Life on Mars actors John Simm and Philip Glenister sitting on a brown Ford Cortina outside of a record shop in (supposedly) early 1970s Manchester, England.
Watching Life on Mars (BritBox US) about a detective who ends up in 1973 after an accident. Great show featuring great music throughout! S2.E4 starts with Lay Down by The Strawbs, then some Santana, Bowie, and T.Rex, and ending with Alone Again (Naturally) by Gilbert O'Sullivan. Highly recommend!
Good to hear you back again on the Roadhouse and Bluegrass Junction, and hoping your recovery continues swiftly. I'm sure you'll be happy to return home for some real R&R after this (unfortunate) adventure. Cheers! πͺ
I switched a few months ago and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! Now I'm a Linux fan girl. π

Agree, I went to many Dodger games during the Helen Dell years, still can hear that organ play!
3/ I currently live near the Lubin Betzwood Films location, where they made "eastern westerns." Most buildings were destroyed but at least one remains and has been repurposed. The rest of the site now has apartments.
2/ Stetson Hats, Atwater Kent, Lubin Manufacturing are a few of my favorites. Lubin's abandoned buildings at 20th and Indiana are now mostly gone, but Google maps still has older views before they were demolished.
1/ Now I'm the one late in replying, sorry! I was a baby when he worked at Budd, so have no real memories of his experience there. But in more recent years, my train passed right next to it and I was always curious, as I am about many old Philly locations. Most are now gone or, if lucky, repurposed.
My father worked there for a time before he ended up at the Fairless Works. Enjoy your posts!
And this is why I switched to Linux Mint last week. Not a programmer, not a techie, but I managed to get it installed and it's just perfect! No bloatware or annoying reminders anymore. And agree on that clock thingy, what the heck?

Same here, in fact I may have actually seen him folding paper, origami maybe? π
Great writing and great acting, I just loved those kids!! And I'll watch Zahn McClarnon in anything.
Such a feel-good song!!! Reservation Dogs named an entire episode after it. πΆ
Love this song, his dad sings a great high tenor harmony!!! And glad the little one is okay, another life lesson learned.
Sea glass earrings redone with antique brass and rhinestone cup chain.
Hobbies are healthy for mind and body. I had some old sea glass earrings with tarnished silverish findings and redid them using antique brass findings and rhinestone cup chain. First time I did this and now I know I can fix or change up other old pieces.

Sad news about Brian Wilson. He was a pop genius, no doubt. Even though his music was sophisticated and right it could be played by amateurs too. The accessibility of it made it even better. So proud to have played on this version of Don't Worry Baby by Melody Dog. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N50e...

Dolls, pencils ... just a few of the gazillion things that are imported because they just aren't made in the US, for the most part. I've been writing about doll parts, for example.
