So I'm hearing the Ford has called a last minute late night sitting of the legislature to ram through his FOI changes.

What's the point of an investigation? With the FOI changes, will investigators even have anything to investigate?

I'll never forget the time I was visiting friends and family in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the mid-90s and they took all sorts of bottles and cans for return in their grocery stores, way more and way better than what we do here.

Maybe one of the other parties will pick up the cause.

Looking at you, especially, Green Party.

Waterloo urges province to implement non-alcoholic bottle deposit-return program A Waterloo councillor is calling on the provincial government to incentivize people to recycle their bottles more often.

100% on board with this, for like 20 years.

But can you imagine the province doing it now?

Live House video | Legislative Assembly of Ontario Watch a live stream of the House from the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.

Just an FYI Ontario: there is a late legislative session on the budget in the house tonight, and as we know Ford is trying to push through the law that would allow him to be shielded from FOI requests.

You can watch the livestream here: www.ola.org/en/legislati...

As an addendum, regardless of what I think about communism overall, based on what I know about her upbringing, I don't fault her for her activism.

Ford's whining about how much he is scrutinized reminded me of that. Despite his scaremongering about China, he would rather be treated like a political leader from China than a leader in a healthy democracy.

She once remarked that she thought it was weird that we were critical of political leaders, because in her mind, that was the same as being against your country.

For me, it was the opposite. Being raised in a liberal democracy, because I am for my country, I am critical of our political leaders.

On Doug Ford's whining about scrutiny and scaremongering over China...

Many years ago, I had a conversation with an older person from China who was born there before the communist era, and was very active in bringing about that era.

This seems pretty arbitrary.

Maybe the problem is that Poilievre thinks he's the leader of the Official Obstruction.

Anyone else pointed out the irony of Doug Ford "Mr. Privatize, Business is More Efficient than Government" wanting a government owned jet for his travel purposes?

If the market is more efficient than government, he should only fly commercial or charter. Right?

"Disrupting the supply chain" sounds like what a condom is supposed to do.

If I had my way, the ideal urban design would allow me to live in the woods with no neighbours and within 15 minutes of large shopping centres.

Turns out they actually lost rating points, as I suspected. So the reason they rose in the ranks is because the formerly 9th place team lost a whole lot more points.

I was surprised to see that #CanWNT rose a tiny bit in the FIFA rankings, because I didn't think they've done that well recently. They've only had losses against their peers. Their wins came against weaker teams. There was a draw vs a team they should have beaten.

After posting this, I looked up the US military record since the year 1900, and it's not great. They were participants on the winning sides of WWI and WWII, eventually. They led the liberation of Kuwait.

Everything else I found is stalemate at best.

I couldn't tell at first whether or not 'Drake ice' had anything to do with Drake, and thought 'Drake ice' referred to any large pile of snow that can stay viable for long periods, even in warm weather.

I think that's what I'll call it now.

Yeah, the next most popular is non-renewables.

Still, I feel like there are disconnects between what we want, what our politicians are willing to give us, and what we hear about.
