Or maybe those projects started before COVID and during remote work nothing got done so when coming back to the office there’s actually nothing to ship. 🫣

Coming soon 🔜

Added an interactive tooltip style box to the hourly WxNmbr chart!

Got some refinements to hammer out but it was super easy to implement this with some simple SwiftUI.

If you want to check out WxNmbr check it out on the AppStore now!

It is a nice little touch. Generally though I think AppStore Connect as a whole needs a ton of QoL improvements.

I guess. Pretty sure 2020 M1 devices can build this. Maybe even 2019 intel devices based on a quick glance of apples support doc. But if you just want to be angry about your 8 year old device losing support go ahead be angry that’s absolutely horrible.

Yeah just started playing with it. Makes it better! Sandbox accounts still feels like it could be a better experience tho.

I think Sonoma is supported back to 2018-19 devices. So you should be good no?

It’s so hard to optimize product pages when you’re just starting out. So little data to draw conclusions from. 😕

Nice job. Adding user customization is a big win in my book.

Just implemented StoreKit 2 for the first time in weather app. It was surprisingly simple and easy. Though I will say the sandbox testing workflows could use some love. It should be much easier to test various things.

Fixing the bugs that I created in 1.1 with 1.2. (Assuming it passes review). 😅

So far as a hobby dev I’ve made two small games, a simple time tracking app, and a slightly outside the box weather app.

Congrats on breaking top 100

It’s like love hate. There’s always the risk that Apple will reject for some random reason. But generally I’ve been pretty lucky so far with a smooth experience and app review means I’ve hit a milestone.

I made this silly video for TikTok. It performed terribly 🫣

AppStore review is such a crapshoot. There’s no way this shouldn’t be an easier process.

As a person who struggles with the need for instant gratification Apple’s AppStore connect analytics updating once daily is so frustrating! 🫣 any other developers out there with me on this?

Congrats on the smooth launch 🚀. Good luck!

Post app release is a weird feeling. Like I know there’s work to do with promotion. I know there’s work to do with bug fixes and optimizations. And I know there’s a ton of features that I wanted to add but couldn’t fit into v1. But it there is something about release that’s just almost peaceful.

Creating the App Store previews for WxNmbr was a fun challenge. The simplicity of the app made it difficult to figure out what to highlight. It also wasn't easy to provide a variety of images for the same reason!

Let me know what you think of these and if you have suggestions for improvement!

After months of work self learning SwiftUI I’ve done it! WxNmbr is now available to download. 😅 apps.apple.com/us/app/wxnmb...

WxNmbr will hit the AppStore tomorrow in the US, Canada, and a few other English speaking countries. I want to work on localization next and bring the app to the EU and China but that’ll take some time!

So after mulling this over for a few days I wondered. What if the forecast could be just a single number? And I ran with this idea. After several months of teaching myself SwiftUI, working well past midnight on some nights. I finally have it.

The idea that popped into my head was. How simple can I make a weather app? But there were already some great simple apps out there like one of my favorites @helloweather.com — this meant I needed to think outside of what was “normal”.

Back in August I had the urge to create a SwiftUI app and I wanted to do something with WeatherKit for this journey. However making a unique weather app in 2025 is not easy. So I got to brainstorming.

Is that because you use a desktop for computer things so your portable choice is iPad. But if you could only have one device I’d assume still a Mac guy right?
