Well, damn! It looks like the House has finally figured out how to deal with the bad apples without giving advantage to either side: both parties take out the trash at the same time, like they do for states joining the Union.

Sooner or later, this kinda shit is what always happens when you give too much power to one person. Sooner or later the wrong person gets that power. This is the flaw in monarchies. And I guess in our system now.

Happy Easter! He is risen! Or as the kids would say, He’s rizzin’!

Happy Easter, Christians! With a word from Jesus Christ himself, in his final sermon.
‘Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire…For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink, I was a stranger, and ye took me not in…’
Matthew 25

According to that fat clown Trump, we don’t need the Hormuz Strait, we have all the oil we need.
Yes, more oil is produced here in the US than is consumed, but it’s not American oil.
It’s ExxonMobile oil, BP, Shell, or Conoco oil, privately owned, and they’ll sell it to the highest bidder.

Here in Texas, need those 24/12 roofs, there are attics, true. They’re filled with framing and are 140 degrees in summer. They don’t have floors, accessed by trap doors in the ceiling.
As for aesthetics, the Mexicans whose country this once was had it right. Tile roof, 3/12. It fits the country.

In the pantheon of writers who accurately chronicle society beneath the facade of the times in which they live, you belong; Balzac, Zola, Dickens, Orwell’s earlier work, Upton Sinclair, Richard Wright, David Simon.

I just want to take this chance to thank you for the best written show on television. I’ve watched it beginning to end 4 times. It surpasses Dickens. A masterpiece.

Carpet in restaurant dining areas should be a violation of the health code, the same as the kitchens. It’s just an uncleanable bacteria mat.

Residential houses in the South where it snows 3 inches every couple years with a fucking roof pitch of 23/12! And eaves. Waste of wood, waste of time, waste of space and energy.
Hey, if it snows less than a foot, just pitch the roof at 4/12!

Christianity, in theory at least, is as anti -Roman as it gets

The Roman army cut down their grove, beheaded their priests and defeated their warrior queen.

Deep, in detail and context, this man’s emotional intelligence is astonishing.
No Irish mayor has done better.

I’m skeptical of the attacks in Iraq. That was a war we started. That Iran supported our opposition through proxy militias is a fairly legitimate response I think.

I’m making a list of all the times Iran has attacked the US, or visited violence upon us that would justify bombing them, and tell the truth, it’s kinda short.
Anybody want to add to it?

So, Iran is pretty pissed off, and ok, they’re not capable of making an atomic bomb. But the certainly have the material and technical ability to make some dirty bombs, and that veils not be good.

From hand axe to AI, flake to chip, dust to dust, sand through an hour glass, a snake devouring its tail.
So, anyway, the amazing thing that happened, I closed my eyes to clear my head, and when I opened them, there was an entire universe in front of me. Blew my mind. Also, I mighta been stoned..,

And ironic, in that only silicon makes a rock knappable; 14 electrons, 14 neutrons, melts at 1414C, 7th most abundant in the universe, silicon to silicon, dust to dust, conchoidal fractures along molecular boundaries, make an edge 1 molecule wide, on which our entire civilization was bootstrapped.

Something truly amazing happened today. I was knapping a biface, as one does, and has done for 3 million years, just to keep the streak going, and because this millennia is no time to toss out the things that kept us alive all that time, and mostly because I find it meditative.

Story begins with Abraham about to kill his son, to appease his fear of God the unknown. All the way to the New Testaments ‘Love thy neighbor as thy self’. The epilogue, the greatest story ever told - ‘Greater love hath no man, but that he would lay down his life for his friends”. Timeless

I am an atheist, read the Bible more than once, but I have a different take than its critics.
It’s a magnificent piece of timeless literature, even had a verbatim hit on the 60’s rock charts, Turn, Turn, Turn. More though, it’s the story of consciousness from human sacrifice to turn the other cheek.

No, I am not suggesting any thing, just correcting the grim and bloody historical record. My only suggestion to my fellow Americans would be to stop voting for convicted felons, adjudicated rapists, and ignorant, selfish con men. Because when you do, this is the result.

I keep hearing “Regime change has never been achieved through the air. Never!”
This is a stupid war, but has everyone forgotten Japan? Hiroshima, Nagasaki, boom, boom, and it was over. Unconditional.

Today, my wife, Carolyn Wonderland, and I celebrate our 15th anniversary. The ‘crystal’ anniversary, they say.
So…meth, I guess? A big ball of meth?
