No Kings event in front of the Vermont State Capitol building in Montpelier. Clear sunny sky, with a few clouds floating in it. Classical style government building with columns and a golden dome. A large crowd, bundled up against the cold, carrying signs. One sign has a hand-drawn pig with Trump's hair and says "Make Orwell Fiction Again." A sign on the columns of the Capitol says "Resistance Works! Keep going!" and there is a huge American flag under the sign.

If the estimates were right, there were about 9 million people at No Kings rallies today.

Alex Pretti was an ICU nurse serving veterans. He died trying to protect protestors being assaulted. A group of anonymous & masked men fired chemicals into his face, beat him, disarmed him, and shot him in broad daylight in front of witnesses. Then his government smeared him & defended his murder.

I am asking my fellow Republican and Democratic Governors across the nation to have a unified response.

We must all stand against the lawlessness being inflicted in our states.
