This shutdown is now the longest in history, thanks to the Trump administration and their allies in Congress. They *could* fund the government and fix the health care crisis - but instead they’re prolonging the suffering of workers, just to break the Affordable Care Act.

He was healthy, video-calling his family daily from detention. Then, communication was abruptly cut. Weeks later, ICE returned him to Costa Rica in a vegetative state. He never recovered. May he rest in power.

If GEO Group gets their way, they will have no standard of accountability and be exempt from litigation for various violations. This will, in essence, make torture in prison legal.
