Oh, they’re lovely!

An incredible list. It’s devastating.
The loss of UQP is terrible — the list of authors and work — particularly First Nations authors and work — built up there in the last decade has been world-changing. Those who've trashed it know exactly what they're doing — the reputational damage is part of the point. We're running out of venues.
Hungary… WOW 🤩🇭🇺
‘Hungary, Europe!’ Spontaneous chant I just heard on streets of Budapest … Supermajority means Tisza really can dismantle the Orban system… and Orban has conceded… It will be a tough road ahead but truly hard to imagine a better result… I’ll be writing about it soon…
Hungarians showing how to win big in an unfair election: organize AND protest AND vote AND demand profound change.
Police have made 2700+ arrests under terrorism laws in the UK for protesting peacefully against the banning of Palestine Action. This cannot go unchallenged. The UK’s chief pr... www.amnesty.org.uk/get-involved...
We were wrong, he wasn’t empathising, he was asking us to form an orderly queue at the checkout. Inspiring stuff, thanks Albo!
What I find particularly offensive is that an Indigenous man from a remote Cape York community was in court because of a traffic offence.
While #BlackDeathsInCustody go unpunished, these "judicial" acts against First Nations remain an obscenity.

"We don’t condemn children to arbitrary detention and torture in Australia just because of the crimes their parents have allegedly committed. No Australian child in Syria should be treated differently."
A point lost on rabid, racist media and spineless politicians.

Incredible picture
Just like gangsters get jailed for tax evasion, it seems abusive princes get prosecuted for misconduct. It’s a start.

This is the kind of putrid racist hate that Jillian Segal's "private foundation" funds.
It is unconscionable and indefensible that you are keeping Segal on our payroll, @albomp.bsky.social @australianlabor.bsky.social.
Terminate that employment contract.

I can not get past Isaac Herzog shouting to a zionist audience on unceded Aboriginal lands that Australians against genocide should leave a public space in Naarm and go to the Iranian embassy while Trump and Netanyahu discussed bombing Iran.

They won't find ALL the hollows.
They won't be able to extract ALL the hollows.
Many hollows will break, while attempting to extract and relocate them.
Gliders won't use many of the relocated hollows.
Greater gliders WILL die.
This is a disgrace!
Looks a bit freaked out by the idea that he might actually be obliged to do some work

South #Australia power prices plummeting as it nears 100% renewables, proving to the world relying largely on wind and solar energy with battery back-up is incredibly cheap, with electricity prices tumbling by 30 % in a year and sometimes going negative.

I can understand that. There was a man covertly filming people in the Melbourne crowd on Monday. I thought of taking a picture of him, but he was only a metre away and I was a bit freaked out.
One thing that astonishes me about the Herzog visit is that Israel has murdered more journalists than any other state in the 21st century, and he hasn’t faced a single question about this (to my knowledge) from the Australian media
Sophie Scamps MP:
"At the very time the Government is welcoming President Herzog into Parliament House, with the entrance being officially lined with Israeli flags, Israel is moving to extend the illegal occupation of the West Bank thus undermining the hope for a two-state solution."
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the moves, saying, "we will continue to kill the idea of a Palestinian state". He said that the changes aimed at "deepening our roots in all regions of the Land of Israel and burying the idea of a Palestinian state". So what does Australia say about this when the Israeli president is right here on a state visit? (Pic: Minns holding an umbrella over Pres Isaac Herzog)

We will decide where you protest against unreasonable actions of the state and the places in which you do it.
