Sorry for not posting art recently, THE SIX FANARTS ARE STILL HAPPENING, but I’ve been very busy with Cuerpo y Alma’s pitch bible… so here, have a sneak peek of my three idiots, Camila, Juan and Perez. Just a couple more days, I swear

Over all, I’m just not a fan of the book. I can see the bones for a fascinating story about the cost of rebellion, but it just feels like it’s reheating things the other books were already doing well, and not quite pushing for a clear thesis.
Still excited to see what the creatives do next

Fighting and death and more fighting and more death. By the end the one character I loved was Sabertooth, and he was smart enough to walk away and not appear again. The final volume does some stuff with Magik that seems to connect to UXM, but the ending is so vague and low stakes that I don’t know

Ultimate Wolverine ended… what a weird book. UW seemed to love wallowing in its own misery, with it not really offering anything in return. Or even direct worldbuilding. You want any context to the mangled remains of a character you like here? You better love newspaper scraps. I just don’t get it

In this presentation, I will go into how both HK:SS and CO:E33 share themes of society built on endlessly toiling towards an unattainable goal, familial trauma represented through the forces that perpetuate this cycle and their use of a binding force of life being HOW IS THIS BIT STILL GOING

If I had a nickel for every 2025 indie game with a title composed of a “franchise name” and an “entry name”, divided into 3 acts, the first two of which clearly thematically represent the entry name, then the third is clearly representing the franchise name… what was I talking about again?

Avengers Armageddon is about heroes fighting off a Red Hulk hellbent on using his own power to spread American Imperialism all while Captain America is fighting the Red Skull in hell… I love comics, what an INSPIRED choice. I NEED this to lead into some sort of line-wide initiative, PLEASE Marvel 🙏

Maul: Shadow Lord’s artists pushed so hard for a more pulpy, fluid style from what Clone Wars, Bad Bach and Tales had done, making actual paintings on canvas and compositing effects done on glass panes… and Disney decided NOT to promote any of it on release?! WHY?

I remember being a bit disappointed when it was revealed that the protagonists of REANIMAL were called “The Boy” and “The Girl”. No, no, those names are perfect, I get it now.

I really don’t want to make comparisons with LN3… but there is one thing that both games try to do narratively with the co-op element and it sure only lands in one of them, huh?

Finally finished REANIMAL with my brother… damn. Oh, I’m gonna obsess over the symbolism of Tarsier Games again. That was DISTURBING, but I cannot wait to replay it a couple times and get the secrets I missed.

I know these are old, but I always thought these were fun, and I want to do one for the special occasion!

I can’t speak for him and his video plans, I just did the art for this one bit, but he has stated before that Runeterra videos didn’t make the numbers his other topics did by a wide margin. The interest just wasn’t there. A bit of a shame, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for it making a comeback
