Yeah, I’m thinking that is probably the case too. I decided to get it serviced by the pros this first time, but I’m hoping it will be pretty easy to maintain at home going forward.

More pics of my new machine! It’s the Elna Lotus SP. Named for the way the built-in cover opens like a flower. The foot “pedal” is more of a button, and the accessory case is on the top of the machine. Omw to get it serviced, hoping there’s no expensive surprises 🤗

Impulse bought a vintage sewing machine on Ebay…it arrived yesterday and it works! Need to get it serviced, but I’m pretty pleased with it so far.
