I am one of those adults! I know this about myself. I have 2 (!) Master degrees, neither in the hard sciences. You know what I do? I don’t use %s in this way bc I KNOW I’ll do it wrong. I say the price is 3x higher or cut it by a 1/4 instead. And ask my smarter mathy people if I need %s.
We are doing the same. We teach our kids about religions and to respect other peoples’ faiths (so long as they respect others). We also teach them about the harm organized religion has and can do. We don’t believe they need religion to be kind, loving, and moral. They’re all of these things.

It's not until things are really bad for white folks personally that Dems can kind of win the messaging battle and get them to show up. Libs will always say Repubs won't care until it happens to them personally, but I think the same is often true to get white dems to show up to vote, too.
The GOP constantly makes white voters feel special, like their privilege (aka freedoms) is personally threatened by other, targeted groups. The Dems focus on what is at stake for everyone--this is less of a serious threat for white folks bc it is easier to be removed from it...until they're not.
Right? If I've learned anything about progressive politics, beyond always vote...it's listen to Black women. Your example is probably true for every GOP Pres win. White voters often underperform until their privilege feels personally threatened. It's often how both Dems/GOP turn them out to win.

The women's gopher games are great! Murphy currently plays with them, and Coyne-Shoeffield, Pannek, Heise, Zumwinkle, and Stecklein are all alum. We're in the finals this week and into the next month. The games are at Ridder and less expensive (of course) too.

We are in a "trans friendly" state and are planning to immigrate to another country. We don't want to raise our trans child and their siblings in a country on the hope of lawsuits protecting them and a country that has shown itself to be full of hate. Even with an admin change, that won't go away.
