🚀 There is no prosperous and safe future without strong research funded at the European level. At the same time, success in Europe requires a supportive and ambitious environment at the national level.

⚡ Searching for the electric dipole moment of the electron is a first step toward solving a major mystery in modern physics: why the Universe contains far more matter than antimatter.

🔬 We propose ultracold YbCr and similar high-spin polar molecules, featuring large internal electric fields and an ideal rotational structure controllable with modest laboratory fields, as a sensitive platform for probing physics beyond the Standard Model.

To this end, we showed that the excited metastable X1⁢𝛴+b3⁢𝛱 electronic manifold supports field-linked tetramers in a broader range of electric fields with collisional shielding extended to zero field. The discovered phenomenon is more general, thus stay tuned!

Prof. Tomza o polskiej nauce: Ciągle musimy udowadniać, że nie jesteśmy złodziejami Dwa razy więcej pieniędzy na badania podstawowe, nowe instytuty naukowe i reforma NCBiR - to pakiet pomysłów, z którym naukowcy poszli do premiera. Jakie są szanse na ich realizację?

O pomysłach, które naukowcy przedstawili premierowi @donald-tusk.bsky.social rozmawiam z prof. @michaltomza.bsky.social

In the theoretical-experimental collaboration between @UniWarszawski and @WeizmannScience, we show that magnetically tunable Feshbach resonances in Sr⁺ + Rb collisions survive far above the ultracold regime—defying the idea that quantum phenomena vanish at higher temperatures.
