First attempt at orange chicken. I think I overdid it with the ginger, but not too bad!

I responded to one of my favorite authors monthly newsletter and they replied back.

You can never take that away from me.

I couldn't make it this year 😥

I'm hoping some of that SIKTC merch will end up being available online!

Book 13/50

Some retellings of stories from the first book but from different points of view. Lots of trigger warnings needed, and the author isn't great about writing women, but I still like the story.

Book 12/50 (reread)

With Demon King out on April 7th, I decided to reread everything leading up to the final boss.

Book 11/50

When humans leave it to robots to take care of humans, it ends exactly how you would expect.
Very thought provoking story of what happens when people stop thinking for themselves.

Only the mockingbird sings at the edge of the woods

Book 10/50

This is a solid series. I will read the 3rd at some point.
It's difficult to describe all that's happening, because there's so much, but I'm thinking it will all tie together in the end.

I thought it was cute. Similar to Blood Over Bright Haven in some ways.
The way the school gets students is odd, and no teachers is weird.
Feels like the author picked the setting by throwing a dart at a board, but I kinda enjoyed it

Book 8/50

Definitely a product of its time. The story was good, but it seemed like the amount of slang I had to figure out was pretty high.
Ended in an anticlimactic way. Glad I read it, but not something I'll read again.

Book 7/50

I'm enjoying the Glass Library series. CJ Archer writes fun stories with likeable characters. (Willie is my favorite).
The mystery is just a small part of the overall book, but I like it.

I did not care for this book. It felt twice as long as it really needed to be, and doesn't seem to lead into the 3rd book.
The narrator sounded like ai. Turns out it's an actual person?
Not reading the 3rd.

This was interesting. It made me think about the reasons we try to advance as a species and I think it's almost always defensive. It ended on a well written cliffhanger and I'll read the next one for sure.

It took a bit for it to get going for me but when it did, whoa man did it.

I wish I could have listened to the audio book, because I know I'm mispronouncing names in my head.
