Gof bless you Ben
Outstanding!
This appears to confirm my suspicion that Minute Maid frozen concentrate was discontinued due to this citrus greening disaster in Florida
Not a great sign that progressives are embracing fossil fuel subsidies

First trailer for Coyote vs. ACME, starring John Cena, Lana Condor, and Will Forte.
The Looney Tunes movie is in theaters on August 28.
A photo of soldiers from the Mexican Army guarding the facilities of the military garrison in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua state, Mexico, on Feb. 23, 2026, overlaid with the headline, "U.S. Personnel Who Died in Mexico Were Working for the CIA, Sources Say."
“It’s outrageous that U.S. operatives were working to blow up drug labs in Mexico and President Sheinbaum’s security cabinet wasn’t informed of their activities.” theintercept.com/2026/04/21/c...
OK folks, the helicopters you hear today are the good guys, not the spy terrorist ones. We like these, they keep us safe from killer attack #Mosquitoes
Yeah, I don't know if that's happening more or what. I ended up on a single-car southbound train after a service disruption in February. I think there were two people in the cab, so it may have been a training run pressed into service
People upset about redistricting should contemplate the statehood laws of 1889-1890, particularly Wyoming and two Dakotas.
The Transit app is giving me phantom Blue Line trains today (what should have shown up if the train was on schedule)
You know what would bring more families to want to spend more time downtown?
PUBLIC FUCKING BATHROOMS AND PLACES TO SIT
Predicted high of 85°F, according to my weather app
70 Minnesota children.
Delta Air Lines, who likely flew nearly all of these kiddos out of MSP, could publicly condemn this and end the practice tomorrow, as the airlines did in 2018 with family separation, but it’s easier to stay silent.

The front of a light blue 4-door Hyundai pickup truck with silver and gray trim and a streamlined front end
Something about the grille on the Hyundai Santa Cruz makes it scream that it wants to be an EV. Maybe the funky rotated L shapes for the LED headlights clusters, or that the grille is fairly flush with the front
The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.
Nothing but respect for my Rubberband Man

Since I'm not sure if images are working again yet, I'll mention some vehicles seem to be getting into audio cosplay of EVs by playing those whirring UFO sounds -- presumably they're hybrids, but some haven't been clearly identifiable as such (and I just saw one with pretty huge tailpipe openings)
Infuriating
*early competition was mostly TV/radio/cable, I mean
I think these curves peak a lot earlier than many would suspect. I figure it's mostly radio/TV competition (esp. cable). The real news hounds of the '80s could have made an impact by using dial-up online services like Compuserve and Prodigy but cost a lot (AOL charged by the minute until Dec 1996)
My new conspiracy theory is the mullahs, Peter Thiel, and Mark Andreessen are conspiring to attack Bluesky
Firefox recently added that too, although it had weird scaling/zoom issues when I first tried, and I haven't played with it again yet
Yeah we'll have to see what he and his pals do with it. Maybe they can restore some of that, though it's definitely going to get some new stuff put in
The developer here, Chad Tepley, is an old high-school classmate of mine. I don't know much about his work, though he had been in Chicago for many years and has been doing stuff in Minneapolis in the past ~5
Happy 79th birthday to Star Trek actor Iggy Pop.
