Not only that. I get multiple emails per week of three different shared accounts in an institution that uses the name of the institution (and not the different accounts) as the "to". The only way to differentiate the sender is by expanding it to see the email of the sender, and it's quite annoying.
I don't know about the backend, but clients are opensource.
PSA: Starting Android Gradle Plugin 9.0 (or the latest stable version of R8): R8 will automatically optimize all Intrinsics.check* APIs in Kotlin automatically !
This should greatly help improve app performance (especially Compose given the large Kotlin library API surface).
One of the places I learned most about #coroutines in #Kotlin was reading the source code for the sequence() builder—which isn't part of the coroutines library at all. Turns out asynchronous programming is just one of many ways to use the suspend keyword!

I didn't know there are Kotlin bindings! I will check it for sure.

I learnt and used it to create a small game to show "dad job" in a visual and engaging way for my oldest's class. Quite fun, and kids were amazed.
Many many years ago I used to teach basic computer stuff, from how to use the mouse and keyboard to basic Internet knowledge. One of my best students was an 89 yrs old man that wanted to be able to send emails and chat with his grandkids. With the right motivation you can go quite a long way.
I turned off from that menu when I learnt that those strange and annoying effects where coming from the OS. And I've never seen that poppy. Maybe because it was me directly and not the app?
In the last 6-7 years I've used like 3-4 times to call from Spain to UK landlines because I still have some credit in my account.
Today is my last day at Google. I joined as an intern almost 18 years ago, and it still feels like it was yesterday. I'm incredibly grateful that I got to work with so many amazing and talented folks, but I'm also excited to try something new. First step: a few months of travel and photography :)
