11th century farmhouse from
Rotterdam, reconstructed in Vlaardingen. Would make a great model for my wargame table!

In the #Stadspark in #Groningen, getting some inspiration for painting miniature wood things. The park is relatively quiet compared to the Noordeplantsoen, has a lot of birds (last year even a big owl to scare you at night) and squirrels. A walk through the park is great!
Going for a walk in the City Park #stadspark
This is a foamcore row of planks. I removed one side of the paper, scribed some planks and damaged it with a hobby knife. Primed black with vallejo primer. Some planks started a light gray, some a sand colour and a dark grey. Next came a waah and drybrushing a lighter grey for the left side. Finally some enamel mosh wash.
That p3 wood is a bit khaki? I used to paint old wood with a lot of greys but I am not pleased with that
Nice! What colours did you use for the wood?
Is there more information on this painting? I am interested in the two flags on the table in the right
Battle scenes from the fighting to capture the major town of Groningen (14-18 April 1945). #WW2 #HISTORY
Het hád gekund want het Munsterse Leger had Franse “adviseurs”. Maar dan had d’Artagnan wel een vliegtuig nodig om tijdig weer in Maastricht te zijn.
Rubble city bases from the Kickstarter iirc by Fenris games. Lovely stuff!
Heroes! A chicken, a cock and a duck. Will take a while before they are done. Very detailed and fun mini’s by - of course- Fenris
Knights on sticks. Some of them didn’t like it up there and fell of, but the combination of baking soda and superglue beat them. 28mm mini’s, primed with Vallejo Primer, applied with a brush as the primer was dried out in the bottle and I could not press it through my airbrush. Plastic knights by Victrix, marketed as Normans, but you can use them for all of Western Europe in the 10th/11th early 12th century. The Victrix set even has options for Moors for the Reconquista in Spain. You get 2 spare knights out of the box, so I bought some metal horses to mount them on, and now I have 12 of them to paint.
My totally made up West Frisian banner. Inspired by the Norman ones I admit. The West Frisians fought an all out war with the Counts of Holland for nearly 300 years, until being subjugared finallly in a campaign by using castles, a combined land/sea operation and a lost battle. Hardly anything is known of their troop composition and leaders. They were succesfull guerilla warriors, but failed in a pitched battle. They were relatively rich (that’s why they were invaded) and were well armed with period armour and even swords.
No Salute for me this year, so it’s painting at home with @fenrisgames.com rubble city stuff, Victrix knights and a made up West Frisian banner.
Green Party.
Brexit bus.
Count Bin Face.
Three wheeler car with political jokes too hard to explain.
Once again, @badbabybunny.bsky.social is the highlight of #Salute53. In 500 years people will be studying this "First Past the Post" election game for the hidden details, like they now study Tudor royal portraits
Er loopt wel een onverharde weg van de Peizerweg naar de Bruilweering, wat dan weer naast het Stadspark ligt. Misschien ooit voor wandelaars zo genoemd?
Mooi mejong!
The noble art of pinning! A guarantee for bloody fingers and glued together fingertops!
Victric 25mm scale plastic Norman knight. Terrible to put together.
Knights all stuck up ready for priming. The Fenris birds don’t like them.
This Sunday, I drilled holes in knights butts en stuck the knights on a pole.

I finished these a while back, really fun to paint
An owl wizard. Of course. Why not?

Vegetables and boemboe, a herbs paste. Best ones are from the Indonesian Toko.

Bob Murch spacecrew in front of a 3d printed cargo vehicle. Maybe I will ise it as a Mo-Pad for a Judge Dredd game.
Bob Murch “Crucible Crush” mini’s. Lovely figures!
A mountain of Victrix Normans, to be used for Medieval Skirmish games, set in the marshes of Holland and Frisia
And a finished Syrian Bowman.
Work in progress!
