I'm really confused. Is that a compliment to Bluvstein and Huang? Or a joke reacting on the images of Heisenberg, Feynman and Shor? I guess the latter but not sure.🤔

Is there a “continuous” version of this, where we start from a ground state of the Toric Code Hamiltonian, and we slowly and continuously deform that Hamiltonian such that we end up in the ground state, but during the adiabatic process, we’ve braided excitations around each other?

By the end of the sequence, the state returns to the same ground state, having picked up a nontrivial global phase factor if excitations were braided around each other in a nontrivial way.

I know the concept of “braiding of anyons” from Kitaev’s Toric Code paper. There, braiding is a “discrete” process when we start from the ground state, and act with Paulis according to some sequence.

Space Moths Space Moths will be released during Gamescom 2025. Click on the ⭐️ button to be the first to play with quantum on-demand! For ages, the moths of the planet Nerii lived peacefully, their wings shimmer...

Today I'll be speaking at QTech 25 in Hungary: a collection of four quantum conferences in a trenchcoat.

Since I'll speak about our game whose level generation runs on-demand on a real QPU, we'll be turning the live QPU generation on this afternoon. Check it out!
