TNG "Encounter at Farpoint"; Q on the bridge of the Enterprise, dressed in a WW2 era general's uniform, delivering his line with contempt, almost sneering, with caption: in silly arguments about how to divide the resources of your little world.

A crescent Earth against the black of space.
It's Earth Day!
So what better way to mark the day than with one of the photos of our homeworld taken by the Artemis II crew a few weeks ago.
Hard to see national boundaries, sectarian divides, or differences in skin colour from this distance.
Anyway, whether my pics posted or not, EXCALIBUR (1981) is wonderful and has a 4k disc release now. So treat yo’self, as the yoots say.
Reposting now that things are working (?).
The Arbiter of Cheese has clocked in.
Nailed it.
Did someone pour more ai juice into the BlueSky engine tonight?
The Arbiter of Cheese has clocked in.
Oh, almost certainly.
I don’t expect anywhere near that level of awareness from the average American.
I did not anticipate Tucker possessing a tiny sliver of conscience.

Impeccable form. Photo from my collection, no date/info.
God, grant me the courage to crush my enemies, the serenity to see them driven before me, and the wisdom to hear the lamentations of their women.
Sorry!
Absolutely unspoiled!

A deal that is nearly worth the price.
Give it another 240 years or so.
You sure did do more scolding. Hope it feels good.
Putting no ownership of election outcomes on the candidates is quite puzzling.
Perhaps if the “vote blue no matter who” squad tried to understand why people sat out the election, it could be beneficial.
And if you don’t believe what I’m posting, why are you even bothering with me?
Done now.
Disagreeing that the quote is at all “anti-Netayahu” is not failing to listen.
And guess what! I voted for her. But I was voting for the less-bad candidate.
I am trying to say I understand why some people did not want to vote for her. Scolding/blaming/insulting voters is not going to help.
This quote is what you consider “anti-Netanyahu”? Pretty equivocal to me.
I’m saying I don’t think a movement against voting for Biden in the primary had a significant impact on Harris’s standing in the general.
And if she put forth an anti-Netanyahu stance, I never heard about it. (“Israel has a right to defend itself,” and saying no to an Israel arms embargo.)
What is your source for definitively stating that “Uncommitted” affected the general election’s outcome significantly? That seems fairly difficult to establish.
Not sure why so many of you think it’s stupid to think people are allowed to expect more of a candidate.
Educate me here:
Did the “Uncommitted” movement extend to recommending voting against the Dem candidate in the general election? Or was it focused on not voting for Biden in the primary?
I was stupid and engaged with some of them on here today.
I don’t think a limited campaign of voting “uncommitted” or blank during the primary affected the general election’s outcome in any significant way. And certainly not nearly as much as Biden’s late drop-out or Harris’s non-committal stance on Israel/Gaza did.
And I see no reason for the insults.
