I'm seriously considering giving in and actually buying a new PC Tower. Just simply because, my existing one -which I'll most likely go back to using anyway, is from 2018/19, and something will probably go wrong with that. I'll probably fix its boot problem, update it and...well its Windows. 😑

Well, my laptop decided to give me a black screen again, but at least I still had my cursor (for whatever reason) to keep me company. 🙄

...Again if I was doing something *very* task heavy I could understand it, but I was listening to music and typing in WordPad...for ten minutes... 🤷

The fact that I heard about the devastating revelation that Val is being resurrected with AI thanks to greedy directors who don’t respect a dead celebrity’s wishes and use them for quote on quote “ethical purposes”, people genuinely need to stop and think about the damages that AI are doing to not only human artists, but for actors and actresses who aren’t alive to defend themselves long after their death came and went. Val would not want to be remembered as an AI zombie and bringing him back from the grave absolutely disgusts and infuriates me to the biggest degree. I genuinely wish people can only keep speaking out the disgusting greed of people who favor AI over leaving a dead person alone regardless if it’s a celebrity or not.

Image (Art): This is the beginning of a WIP (Work In Progress) of a traditional sketch - with a splash of colour added digitally - that I've done of Princess Daisy. I drew this one at the same as Peach's for her 90s anime screenshot redraw, except I've made the colours a bit richer in contrast to the lighter ones for Peach...mostly because it was coming out a bit too washed out. For Daisy's pose I decided to draw her smiling and winking towards the viewer with one hand on her hip, although I'm not entirely sure what idea I'm going to do with for her scene at the moment. As such (and so they match as WIPs) I decided to go with the same idea for the background as Peach's one with a plain colour and hearts - of various sizes and tones , except its yellow-orange in colour. It also features a double border to make it look like a frame, this time with orange - which is brighter on the inner bit and faded on the outer one. I'm not sure what else to add here to be honest, but I'll continue working on both pieces when I get the chance! || Artist: yesbutterfly. Image (Art): This is a traditional sketch with colour added digitally, featuring the antagonist Agahnim from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. I wanted to draw him looking imposing and smug, so I went with a pose for him where he has his head slightly angled upwards so you can see his full face (I'm sorry), with a sneer on his face. He also has one of his hands raised with the fingers curled in a menacing manner like he's probably giving some sort of evil monologue, or he's going to cast a spell. The piece itself mostly consists of red from the sky (and Agahnim's robes) with orange/yellow tones from the sun in the background, and I attempted to use this push myself to do a bit of dramatic lighting. He's supposed to be in a room similar to the one that he's fought in, so I included some pillars and did a pattern around the 'windows' in order to make them more interesting, and so it was obvious where the window ledge is. For the scenery outside, I just decided to keep it simple with the shape of hills & trees in the background, and the Pyramid of Power as a reference to his second fight and The Dark World... I don't know it's just supposed to look dramatic! My name is Butterfly, and I'm a hobbyist artist, who mostly focuses on drawing fanart for series I love (mainly video games - probably Nintendo related), with a few of my OCs visiting at times. Whilst making digital and traditional art, I also do pixel art & 3d models too. 💖

Image (Art): This is a redraw challenge and study that I did in 2019, based on re-drawing a certain scene from the original Sailor Moon anime. Some of you probably already know which one it is from that short description, since it's a popular scene to redraw, but for additional context, it shows Sailor Moon (from around bust/shoulder-up) at a slight angle, looking upwards with a look of betrayal on her face as she is clearly 'sitting' on the ground in some way (I believe she's on her knee's.) At the time I wanted her to look a little bit more like her manga design, since to be honest until I looked up the origin of the screenshot whilst writing this, I thought that this was from one of the first episodes when she first awakens as a Sailor Scout (when her friend is in danger in the jewellery shop), rather than it being from being later in the series. But the more you know I guess! Still, I'm super proud of how this came out, although I'm now spotting 2,000 errors that are bothering me, but I was trying to replicate certain parts of the original (e.g. hair strands), so please excuse those errors...I was also trying to practice cel shading, which to be honest I will probably never properly grasp, but at least an effort was made! || Artist: yesbutterfly .
