Thread. I'm begging people to realize how much we've already given in just the past 25 years. I'm old enough to remember when surveillance wasn't ubiquitous and before ICE or the TSA existed. There was even a time when the average cop wasn't kitted out for full on urban warfare.
sending ICE to airports is meant as an act of intimidation. whether it’s well-planned or not, whether they’re masked or not, whether they’re trained or not—as with ICE anywhere, ICE will do whatever ICE can get away with, until they don’t

A classic anti-masker tactic is to claim that if you don't wear a mask 100% of the time, it isn't worth it. Untrue. Every single time you wear a mask, you reduce the chances for viruses to spread. Wearing a mask always improves public health, even if you only do it occasionally.
This is a good time to remember that immigration judges aren’t real judges.
