Wait, am I supposed to read the Os in yOu’ll dO as crooked eyeballs?

Screenshots from the MST3K episode Indestructible Man. Here, Lon Chaney (Jr), behind bars, has some choice words to say to the lawyer who betrayed him.
The detective, played by Max Showalter (aka Casey Adams), proposes to Eva in just the worst way imaginable.
Meanwhile in the Undersea Kingdom, someone who might also be Lon Chaney (or maybe not? it's a little hard to tell in this shot) helps Unga Khan with his dastardly plan.
An uncomfortable close-up on Joel's eyes, à la Lon Chaney.
Lon Chaney Jr. is in both the short (Undersea Kingdom) and the movie featured in #MST3K 409, Indestructible Man, and so we have to talk about him. But won't anyone take a moment to appreciate the film's other star, Max Showalter?

The folks over at Talking Pondo invited us on to talk with them about America's Sweethearts, and we made them talk with us about Purple Rain. It's the comedy of Billy Crystal vs the music of Prince! Who will win?
The *last* lost episode. We did it, folks.
I have spent the last 9 years imagining what our episode on K03 would be like. Would it be significantly shorter than our usual episodes? Would we edit it to sound like we only had clips of it? Would we try to imagine the missing riffs?
Anyway, here's Star Force.
Holy shit, someone found MST3K KTMA episode 3, Star Force II, at a garage sale. Lost media since 1988. www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_Z4...
Screen shots from the MST3K episode Atlantic Rim: Three colour-coded mechs fly over Times Square and attack a kaiju. Notice that Times Square is covered in ads for other movies from The Asylum, makers of Atlantic Rim, such as I Am Omega.
Our heroes, Green, Red, and Blue, when not encased in colour-coded mech. They're standing in front of a helicopter; Green is trying out a stylish headband that will allow him to have a deeper connection to his mech.
The team is lead by Admiral "Bull Butter" Hadley, played by the late great Graham Greene.
Meanwhile on the Satellite of Love, Growler plays a pipe organ that causes air dancers to flop about; Jonah and the bots recoil in terror.
In our new episode we revisit #MST3K 1202, Atlantic Rim, and we talk about another movie that it took a little inspiration from. Oh, and Charlotte watches North (Rob Reiner, 1994) so you don't have to.

Not these days, nope.
He’s not wrong! Also it’s a plot device with some real potential. Squanderable potential, turns out, but real.

Published by Dark Horse, even!
Glad you enjoyed it! That’s a little different from what our typical episodes are like, but we hope you enjoy them too.
Paul wrote most of them and voiced Crow, yes.
From MST3K: The Web Series: GPC and Servo are talking on the SOL.
From MST3K: The Web Series: Crow is fishing in a lake.
From MST3K: The Comic: A scene on the Satellite of Love. Jonah, on a ladder, is checking out a lighting fixture; Servo, holding a copy of "A Little Bit of Schmervo in the Night" on vinyl, says: "Looks like a speaker. If so, we can play my new record!" Crow, building a toothpick sculpture of the Eye of Sauron, says, "It's just a pasta strainer, lighten up!" GPC, with a bucket of tools, says, "The boneheads probably put it there on their last maintenance visit. I can tell because it's crooked." M. Waverly, holding a magazine, says, "Hey-- who creased the Mad fold-in?" Growler, driving a small work vehicle, saying, "Y'now, we all want the same thing--a fistful of fifties and a day without fear." Cambot watches on silentlyl. This is located in the path between the bridge and the theater; a bumper sticker on the next door says "Reptilicus is Silly!". There's a workbench with lots of crow parts.
What if MST3K, but drawings? We take a quick look at MST3K: The Web Series (aka The Animated Series, aka The 'Bots Are Back) and MST3K: The Comic. One is a bit more successful than the other.

Charlotte has escaped containment! The power of romcoms was too strong! Hear her talk about three movies with our @fiascofamilypod.bsky.social friends for Valentine’s Day!
Oh! We very intentionally don’t have guests on the show. But that is a kind offer, and you have had a fun career, so maybe there’ll be an opportunity to talk on another show someday?
I certainly hope they don’t try to push S11-13 under the carpet! But yeah, even if they hook future episodes into the end of S13 (which they don’t really have to do), they certainly weren’t planning this when they made that.
Screenshots from the MST3K episode Attack of the Giant Leeches. Here, in the beginning of the short, we see "Crash" Corrigan (playing "Crash" Corrigan) in all his bare-chested glory, being inspected by a naval officer or something.
Meanwhile, Dick (Bruno VeSota) and his wife Liz (Yvette Vickers), despite their marital struggles, both take a moment to appreciate her gams.
One of the few frames of the film that show (part of) a giant leech. It's, uh, well, it's probably for the best that they barely show the giant leeches, so your mind can fill in the scary details.
Back on the Satellite of Love, Crow, Joel, and Tom are dressed up Hee Haw style, singing about how they're a danger to themselves and others. Crow has buck teeth, which is a nice touch.
In the meantime, there are still lots of older episodes to rewatch, like #MST3K 406, Attack of the Giant Leeches. With the short: Undersea Kingdom, ch. 1.
Who would win in a fight, a giant leech or "Crash" Corrigan?

Hunh. OK, well, I guess that answers a few questions.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I trust Shout, but I don't exactly trust venture capital. But whatever happens, we've already got 230 episodes to enjoy, which is more than most shows get!
He raves about MST3K: The Movie in the movie guide he's holding!
Servo and Crow tried to bring WAITING FOR GORGO to Broadway but producers balked when they heard it was only three minutes long.
Screenshots from the MST3K episode of Gorgo: Gorgo's parent, also a giant kaiju, destroys Tower Bridge. A London bridge is falling down, even if it isn't London Bridge.
The harbourmaster at Nara Island, who looks a little bit like Samuel Beckett.
Crow and Tom in their production of Waiting for Gorgo.
And Pearl is hanging out with Leonard Maltin? OK, sure.
Let's switch it up a little this Gamuary, and enjoy a kaiju from off the coast of Ireland who destroys downtown London! Yes, this year we're looking at #MST3K 909, GORGO!
Is this also a thin excuse to talk about Samuel Beckett? Yes, of course it is. Happy Gamuary!

Well, this got cited on Wikipedia, so I guess it's true. Hunh.
Also I thought most people thought the first movie was better? But looking at IMDb and Letterboxd, I guess not!
Wait, didn’t Charlotte think T2 might be better?
Screenshots from the MST3K episode on Munchie. Here, Munchie is revealed, with fireworks. He's terrifying to behold (but perhaps even more terrifying to listen to).
Cathy (Loni Anderson) looks on as her creepy boyfriend Elliot (Andrew Stevens with a micro-Ned Flanders moustache) says weird things to her son.
Munchie drives a jeep in front of the moon, in a classic movie homage that even a child could recognize.
Meanwhile on an SoL, Jonah is dressed up as a rock star, showing ever so much chest, and pouting. Crow and Tom look on.
Happy holidays! Let's see what's in this box...
Oh. It's Munchie.
That's right, we're looking at #MST3K 1304, Munchie, and arguing that it's a holiday movie! It's a terrible argument but it's ours and we're sticking to it.
Listen at itsjustashow.com/episode/187 or on your podcast app. Ho ho ho!

The movie isn't worth watching. But it was fun to talk about for 2 hours!

In at least two episodes of Hogan's Heroes, there's a very familiar actress, who has played an undercover Gestapo agent. It turns out that it's Ulla Strömstedt, aka, "Creepy Girl" from Catalina Caper!

Screenshots from the MST3K episode The Dead Talk Back. Here, a scientist in his laboratory attempts to speak with the spirit of a murder victim, whose body is in a glass vitrine behind him. It's all very scientific.
A model, dressed up as a pizza dominatrix, waves her magic wand over a large ice cream display chest. It's very marketing.
Dr. Forrester and TV's Frank are wearing fedoras and are lit moodily. Frank confesses to every possible crime. They're adorable.
Crow, dressed up like Jerry Garcia, is playing a guitar solo. GPC reads War and Peace, Tom plays solitaire, and Mike folds up some sensible slacks while they wait for the solo to end. It does not end.
In our new episode, we look at #MST3K 603, THE DEAD TALK BACK. (Or do they?) With Crow dressed up as Jerry Garcia and a short about selling cabinets to sell more ice cream, this has something for everyone.
