Swinney softens stance on North Sea drilling as oil prices soar The first minister said energy security should be a primary concern when making decisions on oil and gas projects.

If the next government cares about energy security, it must boost efforts into moving us to a fully publicly-owned renewable energy system.

New drilling would do little to reduce bills, would likely weaken our energy security and would worsen the climate crisis.
