Also, I am experiencing perimenopausal symptoms. Fun, fun, fun! Anyone else feeling sandwich generation pinch? Solutions? Suggestions? Thinking about seeing someone to help get support. #sandwichgeneration #elderlyparent #universitystudent #therapy

Neither are in the same town as me. My brain is in three different locations at all times. With two children, I have been thinking for four people for the last 18 years, but this is another level. On top of all this, I am finishing my first year at a new job, and I am still learning new skills.
The last three months I have been feeling the stress of being part of the sandwich generation. Luckily, I finished my Master of Education last year. This school year, my daughter is struggling with her first year away at university, and my father is struggling with living independently.

Fully agree. Not sure what I am going to do this week now that they are home. I spent nine hours on Monday live streaming the moon fly by. This week has brought me to joyful tears many times, and shivers every time I see the photos. I cannot wait to see real footage of the astronauts from inside.

Thank you for sharing your story with us. Your dedication to COVID -19 outreach has been amazing, but not worth it being at the expense of your well being. Glad you have support.

I too need new bar grips due to a raccoon who overwintered in our shed and ate all the grips and seats of five bikes.

Views of the walk I took at lunch today. There were a couple people sunbathing at the beach. 14C is still too cold for me. @laurentianu.bsky.social

You are more likely to call friends and family the former. The latter is reserved to the truly heinous people who would never be in your circle, or you would kick them out if they became one.

I love that everyone is talking about the eclipse, but it's hardly going to be noticeable to those not paying attention. I went to the sunrise one back in 2021, and it was amazing, as are all eclipses, but you need to get high, and it will not change the lighting that much because it's partial.
Watercolour circles of various colours bleeding into each other.
Yours looks more intentional than mine ๐
