my favorite thing about it is how it navigates sexuality and politics without collapsing into self-consciousness.
most “horny” games tend to frame desire through a kind of performative moral correctness, or the reactionary, where it is crude and embarrassing.
for me, it's that there's no sense of "reaching" + I really like what Nintendo is going for in the Switch era.
Like, 3DS games are just a bit too ugly/perform poorly for me. They are "reaching." Same with Switch 1.

i think people too readily point to competitive games they don't play and just trust the people who are really into them (who have the most value tied to/the most to gain from the game being seen as smart and legitimate and hard and deep or whatever)
I think the game is secretly pretty accessible and easy, with a strong emphasis on memorization that anyone can achieve. The game is just needlessly obtuse so people think it's intricate when....? Idk!
