The number of conversations I've had with grown men about Superman's red trunks is ridiculous. I've said "No, I don't have a problem with him wearing the red trunks again" so many times. I remember one guy saying he wasn't interested in the 2025 film because Supes had the red trunks on. Like, WTF.

I had a confused "Oh, Britta's in this?" type of reaction to that last line. Strange that a Gears of War movie isn't a big studio release.

So, is the goal here to have a *re-release* do what the MCU films in-between the two mostly failed to do (i.e., set up the movie)? Yikes.

Zohran Mamdani on CBS — “Socialist politics can flourish anywhere, because there is only one majority in this country, and that is the working class. It’s time we have a politics that puts them at the heart of what we’re doing, not in the appendix.”
America’s Mayor can’t miss.

Reporter: If you don’t have a deal by Wednesday, will you extend the ceasefire or restart attacks?
Trump: Maybe I won’t extend it… and we’ll have to start dropping bombs again.

Right out in the open, Donald Trump is suing his own IRS to try to steal $10 BILLION taxpayer dollars.
I just introduced a bill that would make this theft ILLEGAL.

Breaking: Iran has re-imposed restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz — accusing the U.S. of violating the deal to reopen it.
Iran says it will continue to block transit as long as the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect.

Disney trained their audience to know that Mandalorian is a Disney+ thing. Are they really confident that people will run to the theaters for it? I’m worried about this one. The marketing for it hasn’t been great. Do people know this is a thing? Is this something people really want? I’m not sure.

I really like the trailer for THE DOG STARS.
I don’t know a lot about this story. But it looks really good and has a great cast. I hope this is a hit for Ridley Scott.

This trailer is fine but forgettable. Not any more or less excited about the movie. I like Mando and Grogu, but this all just feels like a supersized episode of a streaming show that struggled in the latest season. Worried about this. Hope it’s good, though.

Over the past week, the president posted an image of himself as Jesus, the vice president challenged the pope on Catholic doctrine, and the secretary of defense quoted the speech of a fictional hit man and presented it as scripture.

Mike Levin: It should be a much bigger story that JD Vance flew to Hungary, stood on a campaign stage, and told voters to return a head of government widely documented for human rights abuses and democratic backsliding.
Then, after his candidate lost, Vance said what had happened during the Hungarian campaign was “one of the worst examples of foreign election interference that I’ve ever seen or ever even read about.”
Was he describing himself?

Don’t get me wrong, I like Jamie Dornan just fine. It’s not a bad choice. But Viggo Mortensen is so perfect as Aragorn. It’s going to be tough to see someone else play the role in this film. Viggo is Strider.
