in this comic page, grandma asks akane to check a drawer. akane pulls out a compact mirror that is actually a holo costume device. grandma says this is a gift for her. akane tries to refuse, but grandma jokes, "should i croak before your job start,s and you need to blend with us regular civilians again, this little device will be all that you have so take good care of it!"

we then cut to akane in the setting of season 2 of psycho-pass. she is in her room, having just finished a shower, holding the holo device above her head. then she goes to a mirror and cycles through a few outfits. when she lands on the one she wore on her last hangout with her friends, her expression grows dark.

on this page, we cut to clouds rumbling. akane is in front of the family grave for the funahara family, except the only name there is yuki's, mostly hidden by the framing of the gravestones around her. akane is reading a message from kaori about not making it to their grave visit. in the middle 3 panels, akane puts away her messages, puts down the bouquet she is holding on yuki's grave, turns off her holo costume to reveal her work outfit, then sits on her knees next to her grave with a lit cigarette as rain finally falls.
