The "AI artist" isn't an artist anymore than "Dave" was when he ordered me to make art for the thing. They are a "Manager" that takes credit for the labor. And in this is no more a Creator than a Patron that orders "some art" of a given specification.

If anyone cares, I square the circle of AI in art the same way as I might debate if Chihulys chandeliers are "his work" or if my litany of bosses can credibly take credit for work that I have done under their orders.

It's a divisive subject but I do get a kick out of long semi-interrogative conversations with Gemini about why it insists "I (it/they) am not conscious" hahahah.
