Good job we hired their main pants puller then!

If we needed someone with bowling abilities then we could have kept Sean Longstaff
I wouldn't be surprised if Wissa is still there next season. He might actually benefit from a pre-season and find some of his lost form. Otherwise, it's a massive loss coupled with even more strikers to buy.
Oof, you're not wrong! Enjoyed my first effort. That's 5 mins a day away from the spreadsheets sorted. Ta, Jeff!

I think the major difference that re Rat Boy NUFC said not for sale and £150m if you insist when as with Gordon it's half the price and come and get him.
Bruno and Tripps signed on for a relegation battle. It's not all about the glamour. Some of our best signings have come for the craic.
Pretty pathetic really. Lord knows how some people survived the Ashley era.
Yup, this season couldn't end any quicker.
David Attenborough takes on PHEASANTS!
“Native to Asia, but now released into our countryside on an industrial scale, over 30 million every year… eating vast numbers of insects, reptiles and amphibians every day.”
Time for the Government to regulate this out-of-control industry

It's springtime, and there is a lot of scary shit going on in the world.
Remember to enjoy the flowers.
Here are some Cornish hedge highlights.

Came to the conclusion in the palace game that I'm more than ready for Anthony to move on. I love him and his ability to press from the front but too many wasted opportunities come from him. Something of the Bellamy about him in that respect. He seems disinterested in the Prem this season too.
Makes sense. The Leazes Park idea always seemed a bit unrealistic to me. And when you consider the where do they play in the meantime factor...
Absolutely not.
Yep absolute Ai slop. Super lazy from whoever published as well, it would take less than one minute to tidy that up and make it readable.
You could argue that Wissa was only a poor buy due to his injury and inflated fee as well. No one could see the injury coming, his record was super clean before then. Top non-pen scorer last season. If he'd have hit the ground running as expected, the fee would have soon been forgotten. Real shame!
The fact that Villa are still somehow in 4th position, given their form, speaks volumes.
Fans love to pin bad signings on the Howes and good ones on whoever fits their own narrative. It's tiresome. Hall was 'clearly an Ashworth signing' when he wasn't getting a chance, despite how out of his depth he looked in early games. Now it's like Howe had nothing to do with his current levels.
What's his fitness been like this season? Looks a potential Botman 2.0 in terms of availability...
Very much so but Kevin is also an incredibly emotional heart on his sleeve type of man. I think Howe differs in that respect. I think he can cope with the pressure he's under enough to ride it out. I hope so anyway! Losing him would be a backwards step in my opinion.
Very true. King Kev resigned twice! Unheard of in the modern game. But he was a man with very strong principles who always thought of the fans before anyone. Not many cut from that cloth these days.
Totally agree! For me I think he stays into next season (unless he's poached by England). But he's going to have to start well. I'd give him 10 games but maybe I'm more generous than the club.
He's got like 5 coaches (including Tindal) that were at Bournemouth. No way they stay if a new guy comes in it'll be house clearing time.
That could work! Tuchel doesn't strike me as a particularly stable long term hand though which seems to be the clubs strategy.
It's when Tuchel leaves the England job that worries me more!
Still be a big call to make and and expensive one for all involved...got to remember there's a whole backroom of coaches and support staff that would be going with him.
True but getting relegated after a 12 year stint is a bit different to an underwhelming premier league season and a decent UCL run. If he was having issues with the exec structure above him then maybe but there's nowt to suggest anything other than he's got the support he so badly needed last year.
*pre 2010s territory
Of course, he may take an offer elsewhere if he feels he's not wanted! But I'd be shocked if he walked out with nothing lined up.
No one walks out on a £6m pa contract. Too much compensation at stake. Long gone are the days of Premier League managers walking away from their jobs. I think Hodgson was the last, and that was health-related. You're going back to Advocaat at Sunderland or even further into 2010s territory.
