It was a great morning at Pancakes for Prevention with the Washtenaw Area Council for Children! Their work to protect children from maltreatment through education is indispensable. Supporting these programs is a fundamental step toward building a safe, equitable city for all.

My wife and I loved joining our neighbors at the Big House 5K! It was particularly special to finish the race right here in the Fourth Ward. After today’s run, I can officially say I’m running for City Council in more ways than one.
Nothing beats the magic of FoolMoon! It was fun heading downtown to see our streets lit by community art and celebrate with neighbors. I even got to see my friends at Ann Arbor FC and their new mascot, Mr. Nutmeg! This annual event truly highlights the spirit of our city.

This is what the campaign is all about. It’s Wednesday night—my wife and our friends are crowded around the table sealing and stamping gratitude letters to you. This people-powered effort wouldn’t be possible without the neighbors, family, and loved ones who have joined us.
I loved joining the University of Michigan College Dems for their annual Pancake Brunch! Our campaign proudly sponsored the event to support their critical grassroots organizing. Seeing these students lead the charge for a more inclusive future should inspire all of us.

Volunteering at the FIRST Robotics competition in Saline was so fun! As Library Board President, I’m proud of our partnership supporting this hands-on STEM program for K-12 students in the area. Investing in our youth today is how we empower the next generation in Ann Arbor.
Speaking with University of Michigan transfer students was a powerful full-circle moment. As a former low-income, first-generation transfer myself, I know the resilience needed to navigate these systems. Young leaders should feel empowered to plant roots in Ann Arbor.
I am grateful for the support of these former City Council members who know exactly what it takes to govern our city. Their confidence in my experience is deeply encouraging, coming from leaders who have navigated the complexities of local leadership themselves.
