Fuck this country. Goddamn thieves.
Sometimes a person can wonder what 'digital sovereignty' amounts to--but this is it. And would be a great first step for Canada in getting serious about regulating Big Tech Platforms' harms to public health and well-being.
It is not outrageous for Canadian provinces to respond to a trade war (started in breach of our existing agreements) and threats of annexation with a targeted import limitation. Our government is run by bad people who are also bad at their jobs. Canadians are wholly right to retaliate as they did.
There’s little point trying to negotiate a new free trade agreement with Nazi 🇺🇸USA.
An ‘agreement’ occurs when each party trusts that the other will honour its commitments.
There can be no trust in, nor expectation of honour on the part of Nazi🇺🇸USA, nor will there be, for a very long time.

Clearly you fire your top guy when you are winning the war. Lol

#Canada welcomes South Korea
South Korea is a high potential market for 🇨🇦 creative industries, with 🇨🇦 exports valued at $171.9M in 2023, of which audiovisual exports represented over 40%. 🇨🇦 is also a strong reciprocal market for South Korea’s creative industries.
Fascist humanitarian? An oxymoron for sure
After reading this piece by Lagasse I can’t help but think Canada will go with the Two Boat (Hanwha and TKMs) option. In essence a strategy to achieve the Canadian goal of strengthening sovereignty through linking like minded middle powers in Asia and Europe.

Who are the good guys then?
Power and Politics is having a discussion around Carney’s use of the term weakness in terms of Canada’s relationship with the US. Weakness is a central notion in strategic planning. A Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Threat (SWOT) analysis (is central to strategic planning). He used it correctly!
Who knew what I was already doing (once a week) was a “thing”-sardinemaxxing. Sardines in oil with a squeeze of added lime and sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning. An awesome appetite satisfying snack.
So much for interoperability issues with Gripen and US gear.
Canada’s boycott wasn’t organized. It was organic.
Reasons from friends, family, neighbours and Bluesky suggest it’s because Canada has a high literacy rate and over 60% of us have a college/university education; we listen, we read and quietly make up our minds. One Canadian at time.

The attack = MAGA Coolaid
It's an attack on the 'Ivory Tower", expertise, science, experience all those things PP and his base lack.
Any agreement with the USA is not worth the used toilet paper it is written on until, the USA reforms its electoral, judicial and party finance, otherwise it is just rinse and repeat. If the Do Nothing Dems ever get back into power they will DO NOTHING

American MSM is losing their minds over PM Carney statement on YouTube where he said: “Canada's U.S. ties have become 'weaknesses' that must be corrected”
Only one problem: This isn’t the first time be has said exactly that. You’re just not paying attention. Get over yourselves and get real.
Palantir should not be allowed to have any government contracts at any level because it is fundamentally opposed to the basic concepts of liberal democracy.

"Security can't be achieved by ignoring the obvious or downplaying the very real threats that we Canadians face"
PM Carney talked of the War of 1812: Maj-Gen Brock who saved us from an American invasion. Canada never has wanted to be part of the American mess. Never will.

Donald J. Trump • ® @realDonaldTrump Today, an Iranian-flagged cargo ship named TOUSKA, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past our Naval Blockade, and it did not go well for them. The U.S. Navy Guided Missile Destroyer USS SPRUANCE intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman, and gave them fair warning to stop. The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ship stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engineroom. Right now, U.S. Marines have custody of the vessel. The TOUSKA is under U.S. Treasury Sanctions because of their prior history of illegal activity. We have full custody of the ship, and are seeing what's on board! President DONALD J. TRUMP Apr 19, 2026, 9:23 PM
Not going to end well.
Iranian drones have attacked US “military ships”, according to the state-run news agency Tasnim.
