Yesterday, Hannah Spencer came to Lambeth and we flooded the streets to prove her right: people-powered movements like ours can take on the billionaires, the far right, the political establishment – and win!
Always find it amusing that these knuckle-dragging racists genuinely can't get it into their heads that many of us are positive about immigration *precisely* because we do indeed have friends, family, neighbours from different backgrounds...
Spain is leaving Franco far behind. Mahmood should take note of Spain’s compassionate and progressive immigration initiatives.

Where the hell are the damn unions? What are they doing to protect ordinary British workers from this tech enabled totalitarianism?

You cannot build resilience on a system that leaves people unable to afford even three days of food, while relying on fragile, centralised supply chains.
The Green Party believes resilience means a healthy society. It’s time to build one that works for everyone.

I'm just relieved nobody is talking about how I said I bought a house in Clacton, then admitted it was in the name of my girlfriend, Laure Ferrari, even though she couldn't afford £885,000, which conveniently meant I avoided £44,000 in tax.

An Invention of Collective Nouns A reckoning of spreadsheets. A distraction of smartphones. A prattle of podcasts. A mispronunciation of scones. A clique of photographers. A heard of precedents. An enjambment of poets. A grope of presidents. A pile of haemorrhoids. A bunion of personal trainers. A bout of estimations. A condescension of mansplainers. A stroke of geniuses. A spot of adolescents. An embarrassment of Richards. A collection correction of pedants. Brian Bilston
Today’s poem is called ‘An Invention of Collective Nouns’.
We have our own antiscience problem eating away at the heart of government.

Some people with power tell us our society is broken. But we’ve seen for ourselves that this isn’t true.
We asked the public what gives them hope. And what action local leaders to prioritise.

How is it meant to improve 'financial health' if NHS workers who tried the software say that compared to existing systems it’s clunky, demoralising, and a waste of public money? 🤔

Nick Robinson really is a terrible interviewer, far keener to get his views across & get a gotcha moment than in listening to what his interviewees have to say. #r4today
'And some time make the time to drive out west
Into County Clare, along the Flaggy Shore,
In September or October, when the wind
And the light are working off each other
So that the ocean on one side is wild
With foam and glitter…'

When Angela Rayner underpaid £40,000 in stamp duty, Richard Tice said it was "morally completely indefensible” and she should resign if she had “any moral decency”.
Now we learn he set up four shell companies that let him avoid paying £100,000 he owed in tax and to then transfer the cash to Reform
“Greens who were long dismissed as “idealistic” & “unrealistic” now look like hard-headed pragmatists & true patriots. They’re years ahead of their rivals in demanding a transition that makes sense on every level: environmental, economic & political” - great article from @georgemonbiot.bsky.social 👇
I interviewed for my job on Thursday and some how managed not to get the role.
Now I'm laying in bed at 4AM thinking about what I could have done differently, how terrible the process was, and how destructive and pointless for the NHS the whole thing is.
Now, I have to apply for the leftover roles.

'What you get when you vote Green is councillors with two vested interests: to protect people in the community and to protect the planet and the environment.'
@zackpolanski.bsky.social on what you'll get when you vote Green on 7th May.
This is a well-documented pattern in medical research and reflects systemic gender bias in pain assessment and treatment.👇
Letter on UK Parliament headed paper dated 16 April 2026, addressed to Energy Secretary Ed Miliband. Green MPs urge him to maintain the ban on new North Sea oil and gas licences and not approve projects like Rosebank, Jackdaw or Cambo. The letter argues new fossil fuel extraction will not lower bills or improve energy security, and says claims about protecting jobs are inaccurate. It highlights that 93% of recoverable oil and gas has already been extracted and that remaining resources would be sold internationally. The MPs warn expanding fossil fuels harms workers, billpayers and future generations, and call instead for investment in renewable energy, warmer homes, future-proof jobs, and making polluters pay. Signed by Carla Denyer, Ellie Chowns, Siân Berry, Hannah Spencer and Adrian Ramsay.
Our MPs have written to Ed Miliband urging him not to backtrack on the ban on new oil and gas.
More drilling won’t lower bills or secure our energy future. It’s time to invest in renewables, future-proof jobs, and make polluters pay.
For very many years, wayyy too much of our income was spent on rent. Well over half, for much of our kids childhoods. Son & gf currently looking to move from their damp, bug-infested flat. For more than 2/3rds of their income, they’ve been shown blatantly damp & mouldy flats, by impatient agents 1/3
