I could have AI tell me how to lay bricks doesn’t mean I can build a house

I know we can build apps without knowing how to code using AI but should we
I don’t know much about Closure but I’m looking forward to seeing these documentaries
Wow this looks an interesting project and a great blog series, building a OS in #rust https://os.phil-opp.com/
It is, but I’m not sure it’s too quiet. Every time a new JavaScript tool is rewritten in Rust, the devs love telling everyone about it. 😂
Installed Skeets for BSky on my iPad today. Needed a BSky client for iPad and so far it seems very good. It hasn’t crashed so that’s a good start.
Started going through the Rustlings program over the weekend, what a great tool for learning #Rust
Saw a contract role for a Lead Java developer offer £310 a day inside IR35, wow the UK contractor market is at a low
I’ve made React Native apps, they’re great, but I want to try something new and build on my #Kotlin knowledge
Decided to go with #kmp for a couple of reasons, first it’s native, second it’s a new language and approach for me
Spent a few hours on Sunday looking at both #kmp and #reactnative for my app
Back at the coding factory today, setting up the bare bones of my app run #kotlin #multiplatform #indieapp #indiedev
Had a few hours of insomnia last night which is never good, but did come up with a new app idea which I’m excited about #indieapp
Also the benefits of building in public

I like working with AI tools it’s like pair programming
Knowing how apps can break or how the flow of screens should work this experience that a developer can bring to tools like Claude is important
You could say build me an app and it’ll do it you just need someone with the experience in knowing what issues to look for when building apps
I’ve been using Claude for a couple of days and it is amazing what it can do, but you still need someone who knows how to drive the ship when working with it.
This looks interesting , i like these types of initiatives, Nide had something similar a few years ago blog.jetbrains.com/kotlin/2026/...
Up super early today, first thing yoga class then client work and this evening back to studying #Rust (the programming language not the metal)
Interesting interview with Taylor Cramer on Rust and the work in Google youtu.be/eUTsOWbOHeY

New redesigns of sign screens, a few more screens need api plugging in and testing the app.
Working on #reactnative app today another step forward to the first release
