Since we pick things up like scattered jewels from friendships of our pasts, I was supremely lucky to get Pink Floyd and Monty Python from one back when I was 12. What brilliant staying power those have had. Being the oldest in my family I greatly benefited from his older brothers and am thankful.

I brought this to the counter yesterday (variant cover) and the clerk and I took a moment talking about how cool it looked (me: I really like the Empire State bldg and plane here, him: whoa I didn't even see that at first I'm looking at the hard-boiled dude). Really enjoying the series thanks!

Walked up to see my kid play volleyball yesterday and saw the new decals the wrestling team is using.

Unbelievably lame but on point for my pickled-brain retiree paradise on the Jersey Shore.

I was so excited for Maniac Mansion before I got it that I hand-copies the preview/tips pages from Nintendo Power - printed screenshots included - into a marble notebook. What a great game!

My brain is permanently set on 1999 Funcoland prices so paying more than a handful of bucks makes me laugh every time (but I do get it, time + market/speculation and all that).

I dusted off and bought a new wall unit for my boxes of DVDs once streaming became a pissing contest and my kid couldn't watch Magnum PI anymore.

If anything is inconvenient, it's the digital oligarchs slapping us around while they shit up their services and squeeze us for more shareholder profits.

You and the Titan/Heroic teams are doing such great work. It's not often I catch things and think how much it'll be revered in later decades, but I think this is one of em.

I was young and stupid and Reagan just reminded me (surface) of my grandparents, which did a lot to hide what was going on behind the scenes, which might explain that. Well that and the only section of the Asbury Park Press I read was the comic page. Time has been unkind to my former ignorance.

Also it wasn't til your fab tome that I learned the interior shoot of MSG was actually the old NJ stadium. Thanks for that, too!

Haha NYC Soho has become a cobblestone street and iron façade TikTok influencer playground, full of boutique nonsense and wandering selfie videographers. Still great to visit the Highlander sites in random stop-ins when I happen to be near the various spots.

Hi - longtime fan of H and yer book but haven't been up on the remake stuff. Question - are they bringing it back to NYC or faking it or nah? I kinda always loved it was a New York movie (I go to Nash's Antiques and the Wooster corner w/ the former Mona Lisa mural whenever I'm wandering around there

Wait so you're saying the older kids who tried to put cigarette butts out on our arms and beat us up after school and started drinking at 12 are problematic today that's so weird

Tee hee

(Also Gen X but like not one of those type-arinos)
