You killed 1,500 civilians
Or indeed Myanmar, where there is a literal civil war
Yes I think he was being dismissive, but I'm not sure he understands how ignorant that makes him look
How does he not know who his opponent's Secretary of State is and how is he proud of that
Saving this for when I have to explain that someone's hero is someone else's terrorist, and rebellion to unjust laws...
Who are "they"
This week, Israelâs Defense Minister said Israel would occupy the area south of the Litani River in Lebanon, where hundreds of thousands of people live.
That area is around 8% of Lebanonâs territory and is larger than Bahrain, New York City or Singapore. It is twice the size of Gaza.
The Evacuations Research Hub @kaldorcentre.bsky.social at UNSW Law & Justice is excited to offer two PhD scholarships in law to examine the role of evacuations in different contexts. Applications due 18 May 2026; details here: www.unsw.edu.au/law-justice/...
That's *really* not the point here đ how's your Slovenian...
NEW: UN Security Council resolution on new framework to deal with impasse around Moroccoâs claims to Western Sahara does not ensure that the right to self-determination for the territoryâs peoples is upheld and is consistent with international law

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert calls on the International Criminal Court to "take enforcement measures and issue arrest warrantsâ concerning settler attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank.

I read about a court case in the US where first instance judges didn't spot fake case law and included it in the decision. It was overturned in appeal... So welcome to AI slop in judicial decisions, too! âš Don't you feel like you're living the future
1) the apparent momentum for HoS prosecution; 2) the identity of HoS in contexts of contested statehood and illegitimate governments; 3) gendered patterns in atrocities and political representation; and 4) the value and limits of in absentia trials.
We hope you enjoy the reading as much as we did!
Proud to share this symposium on Prosecuting Heads of State for International #Crimes organized with @ayicl.bsky.social & published on @opiniojuris.bsky.social this week! In this intro, we highlight four cross-cutting themes emerging across the eleven contributionsđ

"There is no way of knowing where international relations are going and what will be possible. What is certain is that...any fair trial, is a result of quiet hard work, and persistence, and a belief that it is worth it, while at the same time remaining cognizant of the limits of this process."
It was absolutely not technical
The car!!!!
This is big. It doesn't just happen.
Germany has been a stalwart supporter of Israel, despite clear evidence of its violations of the Genocide Convention in Gaza.
The decision not to intervene at the #ICJ is likely bc its best lawyers have told Berlin that doing so can't help a lost case.
Nabatiyeh is being completely razed to the ground by the Israelis. It was one of the largest cities in South Lebanon, around 100,000 people. Now around 150 families left there.

Israel's military campaign in Lebanon is illegal because it is unnecessary.
It is unnecessary because Israel has a reasonable alternative.
That reasonable alternative is for Israel to end its unlawful act of aggression against Iran.
My latest @justsecurity.org
Yeah absolutely... I think it's coming but I also think it'll take a long time and there's a big catch-up gap with technology
Some universities here in the UK are starting to go back to in person written exams and even oral ones, but there are a lot of challenges... The teaching methods and expectations are very different from what were used in Italy and students are not well prepared for this, we'd need radical change
I don't think this is a normal thing to say...
This is extremely shameful, a new low in the EU's one-sided narratives. You perfectly know that Israel-US attacked first AND that there's no lawful self-defence against Lebanon and its citizens for actions of a non-state actor
What type of message is this exactly?
I don't understand this, is that because busses are supposed to be for lower classes and that is supposed to be black people? Or else?
hitting the same target twice is for killing emergency responders, and for making people afraid to help those who have been injured or maimed in a previous strike
the US did this to a schoolhouse
