Then of course there are those with a very thin skin, and who get bruised easily, or see things where there is nothing to see.
There are also blocking lists, and people blindly accept those lists and block all people on them.

Peer pressure can do many things, particularly in the Marine Corps. He may genuinely not have realized that it was a Nazi tattoo. Remember, he enlisted right out of High School.
He comes from a relatively wealthy family. But he enlisted in the Marine Corps right after High School. There is an intense peer pressure in the Corps for the enlisted to get tatooed.
Reagan's policies, and the policies of subsequent administrations substantially worsened lie for the bottom 60% - The top brackets came down to 35%, and the poor bled. 8/8
Nixon obliged in 1972 by halting the building of any new public housing in 1972, and Clinton made that permanent. Rent control was fought city by city, one city council at a time. By 1980, the white LMC voted for Reagan, and as things got worse, led directly to the tea party and MAGA. 7/8
The increasing poverty of the lower middle class was brought on by the upper middle class and the rich buying up real estate as an "investment", which turned the lower middle class into renters. Thus began the war on Public Housing and Rent Control. 6/8
The Lower Middle Class was primarily white, and blamed their decline on the Civil Rights Act. This was used by both parties, and thus began the era of Identity Politics, just as MLK Jr was beginning to move away from race to poverty, and sought to unify the poor blacks, whites and minorities 5/8
Inequality continued to drop because of high income tax brackets for the rich. That ended with the passage of the Revenue Act of 1964, that cut down the top income tax bracket from 90+% to 70%. This over the next decade and a half, killed the US Lower Middle Class. 4/8
Neither Truman nor Eisenhower were willing to go to bat for the minorities. The primary cause for the reduction in inequality was the large spending during WW2, but consumer spending was kept in control during the war, but was unleashed after the war ended. 3/8
Inequality dropped precipitously after WW2, with the passage of the GI Bill, and increased education and low cost housing for the returning GIs. This is what is referred to by MAGA as "Greatness". Unfortunately, these benefits only trickled down to the minorities, leading to MLK Jr. 2/8
If you look at US politics, Southern Blacks used to vote for the Republican party. This was because the Southern Democrats were racists. That changed with the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964., and the two major parties flipped their ideologies in the southern states. 1/8
The 25th Amendment requires the Vice President and a majority of the cabinet to petition the Congress. Not going to happen.

Remember that this is not too far from the Full moon. So the far side should be mostly dark
In the US, the slide started with the passage of the Revenue Act of 1964. It killed the US lower middle class, and led to the rise of Reagan, and now Trump.

Impeachment and conviction is easier by far.
