A smooth newt and a common frog tadpole practically nose to nose in a garden pond. Apparently neither of them is aware that they are supposed to be enemies, and that one is supposedly meant to eat the other. Rapidly coming to the conclusion that I have the world's first known community of vegan newts.

Absolutely no idea, either of them.

Hooray! I love the cover.

Yes, but can we check ahead first and see who we get instead?!

Seems legit, though perhaps needs the middle class as well. Constantly offended in an effort to protect their status! Upper class protected by wealth. Harder for the women, but easier for them to "visit family". And of course worst for the poor women, facing the stigma, and another mouth to feed.

I think this needs a photo bomb award. 🥂

It's magnificent. Also, I am forever in awe of the ability to do water really well.

(Sharks duly spotted.)

That's so cool! (And I hope the gardener got a fair cut.)

Braconid wasps will lay outside the host as well. I think their eggs are a bit longer than those ones though. Fascinating, but poor caterpillar!

The Inside Story of the First Untethered Spacewalk On February 7, 1984, astronaut Bruce McCandless ventured out into space and away from shuttle Challenger using only a nitrogen-propelled, hand-controlled backpack

There's a nice bit about it here: www.smithsonianmag.com/science-natu...

It's sad, but I guess they're not the first organisation whose time has been and gone.

It certainly didn't used to be. Michael Cashman and Ian McKellen were right there at the sharp end. Cashman still does what he can. They stepped back from leading Stonewall because they felt that a new generation had to take over, which was probably right. But so much seems to have changed.

This suggests you've done rigorous testing on shirt length vs untucking due to energetic running from predators.

I suppose that depends on how long the shirt is.

Times have changed, sadly.

I think everybody is terrified of being sued. Ask the question, and they immediately start hedging like mad.

Ah! Okay, but - important question here - does she blow anything up, shoot anything, or have a sword fight? Because if not it's not a proper film, sorry. 😇

I have no idea what film that is! 😀 Don't know if this is mine, but it'll do nicely.

The follow up, Better Than Life, is bloody good too.

I don't remember that, no! He did cultivate that sober and professional image though, so it's very much the sort of thing I can imagine him saying. And it worked! For a while.

They wanted The Artist Formerly Known as Prince Andrew for a similar role too, remember. Also a bloody silly idea, that some tried to prevent for similar reasons. But it also got pushed through anyway. It's either the Old Boys' Club, or somebody's doing it because they're crooked too.

😁 TBF I'd not heard that. I liked him because he seemed like the anti-Johnson. It's been obvious for some time that he's halfway between useless and awful, and I'm not remotely surprised by any of this Mandy stuff. Just keep him ticking over long enough to ruin any attempt by Streeting to take over!

They're the worst, but dog breeding is full of this stuff. Heard of a gene mutation that stops people feeling full, so they over-eat? Bred into labradors to make them biddable. Labs are famously "greedy", but no. They think they're starving. And King Charles spaniels have horrible gene issues.

They were tipped off when he said "Tell us a story, Geoffrey," and kept trying to introduce a song by Rod, Jane and Freddy.

They can camp how they want, obviously, but that sounds like a *lot* of setting up for a long weekend!
